This is good news. I mean, not for Alshon, but for the short and long term future of the Bears. The best thing that can happen to them this year is to lose every game. Losing Jeffrey makes that more likely. Losing Long makes that more likely. Cutler will be even worse than he's been without his best receiver (despite that best receiver hauling in a massive ONE touchdown) which will further solidify his departure. The Browns basically have the #1 picked locked up, but if we can lose to the 9ers in a few weeks we'll have a really good shot at the #2 pick.

There was absolutely nothing at all wrong with what Jake said. It was insensitive and absolutely unnecessary at best. Unnecessary? He's free to voice his feeling on the results of the election just as much as anyone else - be it on Twitter or anywhere else.

But Travis Wood and Lester are super progressive, right? I don't care about his politics. I mean, I wish he wasn't a conservative, but I don't really care. I care very much about his rhetoric aimed at minorities. I'm now in the horsefeathers jake, thanks for the no hitters, go chill with dbag schillling camp Huh? His rhetoric was aimed at Hollywood, not minorities... what are you talking about?

Watching SNL makes you... stressed? I just... I mean... what? I thought the dead grandmother thing was a little weird at first, then I remembered that it was the WORLD CHAMPION CUBS doing it, and nothing they do is anything other than awesome.

It's a fair complaint but the timing of it and the fact that he said it in public is weird. The guy was likable as hell, even when he struggled and now he's less likable to me because he complained on a radio show the day of the World Series championship celebration. Just an odd thing to do. I think it's important to keep in mind that Miggy was likely really, really drunk during that interview. He's been a model teammate as a Cub, particularly when Contreras came up and basically took his job. This doesn't impact my overall feelings on Montero one bit.

Best place to find tall size Cubs World Series gear? Fanatics has very limited supply of tall size options but don't have anything Large-Tall. Just XL-Tall and up.

I hope the Cubs have a bus load of former players at tomorrow's parade. It'd be really neat if Castro were one of those players, but I'd imagine the Yankees might take issue with that.

I remember that - "it's the Hawks, man." I'm not much of a game thread reader/participant during games but I just want to say that when (not if) the Cubs are on the verge of recording the final out of the game tonight, I sincerely hope that literally no one is trying to post right around that time. Put the electronics down and take in what is sure to be an unbelievable moment.

You honestly think that would've been an inside the park HR? I mean... huh? Can't help but LOL at the concept of someone bitching about a guy "only" getting a triple on a bloop to RF. Had he been running down to first instead of jogging, then stopping? Yeah, there would have been a chance. Sorry, I forgot I'm not allowed to question one of Theo's guys. Question whoever you want but when it involves complaining about a bloop to RF that wasn't converted into an inside the park HR, from a guy who had two of the Cubs five hits, you're going to get responded to accordingly.

Last night we scored zero runs and you think that's a reason the Cubs should not worry about offense as much? What do they say around here? Derwood gonna Derwood? You started Soler over Heyward, got nothing out of Soler's bat, but his defense cost us the one run scored, so.... I disagree that that was a catchable ball. Even for Heyward. Also - got nothing out of Soler's bat? He had two hits...
