  1. Japan is home to some of the world's leading manufacturers and robotics companies. As of 2022, 45% of all industrial robots in the world were originally produced or designed by companies in Japan.
  2. Just 2-3 hours worth of a discussion in 2 separate threads and links that have already been posted....
  3. You really need to read before you post
  4. He averages 66IP in his career. He's an injury waiting to happen.
  5. My worry is he won't reach 100IP in 2024. The only other time he's pitched over 100IP in his career he followed up the next season pitching only 60 innings.
  6. Unpopular opinion..... I don't want Tyler Glasnow. His arm is held together by string and duct tape.
  7. If you’re convincing Ohtani to sign with your team then your sales pitch includes a plan to get better and compete while he’s signed. They’re not just gonna sign him and become the Bulls and do nothing for multiple seasons.
  8. The best time to sign a generational player is when they are available.
  9. The 60 win Rangers were built to win it all when they signed Seager and Semien? Were the 80 win Phillies ready when they signed Harper?
  10. Sources within the Cubs organization have told me that Ohtani will only play for a team that has an American player. Will also give high preference to teams with Latinos as well.
  11. Trade Morel and Brown for Mookie Betts. Then Ohtani won’t want to sign there. It kills 2 birds with one stone.
  12. https://twitter.com/BOSSportsGordo/status/1727411979491701214?s=20 Do your thing Seiya
  13. I believe it was the lowest rated World Series in the past decade so I would think losing the TV deal would hurt a bit more. It doesn't appear to be all about the money with Shohei though. If he chooses Texas it's probably because of the talent on their team.
  14. The Rangers were one of the teams impacted by the Sinclair TV rights thing. They might not have the finances. I think the Giants are a big threat. They almost landed Judge and Correa last year so they have money to spend.

  16. Ever since Twitter became X people that pay for the blue check mark get money based on interactions with their tweets. So a whole bunch of nobody's will claim to have sources and say a bunch of nothing just to farm engagement. This guy and this tweet is a prime example of a whole bunch of nothing. Having a blue checkmark does not make you credible. It means you are paying for it and driving up engagement on your tweets.
  17. The wording on these tweets is just a whole bunch of nothing. Every team interested in Ohtani is planning on making a massive offer.
  18. Yeah that sounds about right. I think he was right on one thing but wrong on a lot of others. Seems to be the type to throw horsefeathers at a wall and hoping something sticks.
  19. https://twitter.com/mikedeportes/status/1725232330451693840?s=20 Not sure how reliable but I recall he was right on a couple things last off-season.
  20. As legitimate as ABTY
  21. Can't wait for the press conference introducing Ohtani, Soto, Yamamoto, and Hader to the Cubs
  22. I think the Mets could have matched that. The Astros need a new manager, do the Dodgers really love Dave Roberts? The Cubs came out of nowhere, there are probably other suitors we don't know about. I think the Cubs had to make a pretty compelling sales pitch to get Counsel.
  23. I mean....Counsel turned down the Mets and David Stearns. I don't think Counsel chose to sign with the Cubs because Jed said he's standing pat with the current team.
  24. My expectations this off-season are now sky high
