    Guys , don’t get confused . Rogers did say he thought the Cubs would go over , but were to going to hang around the tax . He meant that they would go over if they needed to make trades in season .

    I think Alcantara still has 1 option left . I think it was Arizona Phil who is really good at this stuff , who said it . Fangraphs still has him with 1 as well . If he has 1 , my preference would be to have him start at Iowa as the main depth guy and get another bat for the bench ( OF ) who I feel good about in case the of an IL trip from one of the regulars

    This is such an interesting move . With a 35 AAV , I got to believe they could have gotten a younger Bichette . Don’t get me wrong , not complaining , just wondering !

    According to Buster Olney , the Yankees are now under the assumption that Bellinger is signing elsewhere . They are now engaged with both Bichette and Tucker

    What I read is they would move Harper back to the OF . They have said earlier in the offseason Harper wasn’t moving but to fit Bichette , I could see it . They may need to trade Castellanos before as well

    A Red Sox / Cubs showdown for Bregman would be very interesting . They are so similar in the way they do business

    Seems like the Phillies may need to trade Castellanos and Bohm , before they can sign Bichette .

    Looks like the Dbacks have just pulled Marte off the trade market . This takes the Dbacks out of Bregman and the Red Sox more likely to try and close the deal with him . I think Cubs will add a bat now after the Cabrera trade , just not one of the top ones . My guess is Suarez

    I know Cerami said the interest is legit , but i am mostly ignoring the Bellinger stuff . Not going to happen .

    Steele agreed to a deal for his 26 salary ( 6.775 ). Haven’t seen anything on Asad and Cabrera

    29 under the LT now , but with the money they keep for in season it’s more like 19 or so . To get a Bichette , they will need to move salary ( Taillon ) ?

    Mish is very reliable when it comes to Marlins stuff . I wonder if things are getting hot with the Yankees . Notice how he says if it finalizes at the end of the tweet . That kind of wording often results in a deal

    Now the Cubs are starting to get linked to guys like Lucas Giolito , Chris Bassit . 😂 Imagine losing Tucker , not adding any meaningful bats and having Lucas Giolito as your big SP add . This after a playoff season .
