  1. now this is a great signing. theres our new hjalmarsson.
  2. but tyler johnson isn't nothing. i think he could good. He’s old and was available for free. but they wouldn't have gotten the cap space if not for this particular trade anyways. did the ltir benefits outweigh that? it feels like we traded an abomination of cap hit for a meh cap hit that will actually provide value to the team, while getting a second.
  3. How long is Johnson's contract? 3 more years, same as Seabrook. So unless he preretires as well they’ve just given away usable net cap space to a little old guy. for a solid forward and a 2nd
  4. Cap room isn't nothing to be fair. The money could have been used on non-declining players. you aren't wrong, but i have to point out that one of those declining players just won the vezina 1 month ago. the direction of the organization is dumb, but the MAF trade is good.
  5. but they got actual cap space for it. isn't that better? the ltir stuff is very confusing to me. the problem would be that it had to be used on tyler johnson and a not-great contract. His cap hit is ~1.8m less than Seabrooks but his is actually real while Seabrooks doesn’t count. They made their cap situation worse. but tyler johnson isn't nothing. i think he could good.

  7. tyler johnson has been a fan favorite down here for years
  8. what the heck
  9. they only got him because his son is one of the guys we got in the darvish trade
  10. is hoerner capable of hitting a ball over the fence?
  11. guardians is fine and that logo is sweet
  12. Stan is getting dragged hard for this one
  13. The 2022 firt rounder is only top 2 protected, then it becomes a 2023 unprotected 1st. Stan better be improving the team more or this could be disastrous.
  14. I read 8.25? Both have been reported. 8.25 would make me feel a lot better.
  15. the metrics arent big on seth jones anymore.the hockey world seems to be trashing the hawks for this at the moment if it's really 9.5 per
  16. boqvist is the main piece. Not too disappointed about that aspect, his defense is atrocious
  17. and there it is. Its unknown what the hawks gave up, but the extension is 8 x 9.5
  18. did the cubs just try a suicide squeeze (and fail) with 2 outs? did ross forget the outs or something?
  19. it's funny that arenado has barely been better than javy this year
