I think starting pitching is hurting us more than injuries right now. We're still scoring runs, we just can't keep the other team from doing the same. Part of that is the Zambrano injury, but Dempster, Marquis, and Gallagher have all been brutal this week.

Well, at least the starting pitching is being exposed early enough that Hendry will realize this team is going nowhere without more pitching and can do something about it before the deadline. Yeah run-on sentence.

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, but whatever. Does anybody know if Florida is planning on giving him a shot anytime soon? I'm just curious. I checked out his numbers in Albequerque and they are obscene. 28 bombs already in only 245 AB's (.310/.423/.706). I know it's the PCL, he's almost 28, and he's had multiple shots at the big league level, but still. What is his deal?

Well, if Dempster comes to earth, it might be better that it happens sooner than later. I was kind of afraid Hendry and Lou were going to feel comfrotable with Dempster as their numbers 2 starter for the rest of the season and into the playoffs. This should put a little more pressure on Hendry to get a top of the rotation guy.
