  1. 3 runs due to not being able to retire the pitcher with 2 outs
  2. How many pitches did Gallagher throw against the Sox on saturday?
  3. Hate to say it, but with the shadows coming in that might be the game.
  4. Seriously. Lincecum is getting all sorts of room on the corners and Gallagher is getting nothing.
  5. I'm hoping Perry was preaching the "Kazmir" approach to the guys. They've been pretty good about working deep counts against elite pitchers and getting them out of the game quickly. Halladay and Peavy also come to mind.
  6. It's actually not bad, he just botched that one.
  7. Hey guy, Fukudome is not a good contact hitter
  8. That was brutal. Even though I'm very happy they lost, you've still gotta feel a little sorry for those guys. We know how bad those hurt.
  9. I just looked at the schedule and after today the Brewers start a 10 game homestand against the Pirates, Rockies (4), and Reds. Yikes.
  10. Man, the D-bags are terrible.
  11. With the way things have gone lately, it wouldn;t surprise me to see Wood blow a save tonight.
  12. Sabbathia is a Cy Young winner. And is only under contract for 3 more months. How long has it been since the Cubs won? Who cares if we lose Sabbathia if that brings them closer to a WS which it will. Yes, it will bring us closer to a World Series for one season, then hurt our chances over the next several years. I think we have a better chance of winning a World Series in the next 5 years if we don't "go for it" to that extreme. I think people aren't realizing how bad our pen could be without a good Marmol anyways. The NL is down this year and the Cubs are up. After you have waited for 100 years why wait more when it is right there for the taking this year? Do Cub fans learn anything form history? Yes, I've learned that "going for it" and giving yourself one chance to win it rarely works out. And what does 100 years have to do with anything? I'm sick of that argument. Like I said, I'd rather have multiple chances to win it over the next several years then just getting one big shot this season. I want to win one, period. Spreading your chances out over multiple years gives the Cubs a better chance to win a championship.

  14. I would in a heartbeat. Sabbathia is a Cy Young winner. Marmol is great, but not a Cy Young candidate. Are you crazy? What, you trade a very young and dominant relief pitcher just because he has a couple of bad weeks? For a guy as good as Sabathia, yes without thinking. No kidding. If a reliever can net you a critical position player or starting pitcher an your bullpen is still decent or better without him, you trade him. I don't think our pen is even decent without Marmol.

  16. So we went from gaining a game on both teams to losing a game on both teams in like, what, 30 minutes?
  17. About a half hour ago it looked like we were going to gain a game on both the Brewers and Cardinals, now we probably are going to lose ground on both.
