  1. We need to get two pitchers. Gallagher is in no way ready to help get us to the playoffs. How many teams in the NL have good #5's? Well then our 4 sucks ass too. Adding one starter would make Lilly or Dempster our number 4. Right pushing Sean out. Like I said we need to add 2 to get Marquis out as well. braden looper, mitchell boggs, joel pineiro and todd wellemeyer are in the cardinals' rotation. Anthony Reyes, Jeff Weaver, Chris Carpenter won them a World Series. And 83 regular season games.
  2. So you're saying we get swept in St. Louis? Yeah, I don't see that happening.

We don't need both of them out of the rotation, only one. Zambrano Somebody Lilly Dempster Marquis/Gallagher Is perfectly fine

  6. 120-odd, wasn't it? Hopefully Lou will eventually realize that there is a correlation between extreme pitch counts and then pitching like crap the next day.
  7. 3 runs due to not being able to retire the pitcher with 2 outs
  8. How many pitches did Gallagher throw against the Sox on saturday?
  9. Hate to say it, but with the shadows coming in that might be the game.
  10. Seriously. Lincecum is getting all sorts of room on the corners and Gallagher is getting nothing.
  11. I'm hoping Perry was preaching the "Kazmir" approach to the guys. They've been pretty good about working deep counts against elite pitchers and getting them out of the game quickly. Halladay and Peavy also come to mind.
  12. It's actually not bad, he just botched that one.
  13. Hey guy, Fukudome is not a good contact hitter
  14. That was brutal. Even though I'm very happy they lost, you've still gotta feel a little sorry for those guys. We know how bad those hurt.
  15. I just looked at the schedule and after today the Brewers start a 10 game homestand against the Pirates, Rockies (4), and Reds. Yikes.
  16. Man, the D-bags are terrible.
  17. With the way things have gone lately, it wouldn;t surprise me to see Wood blow a save tonight.
  18. Sabbathia is a Cy Young winner. And is only under contract for 3 more months. How long has it been since the Cubs won? Who cares if we lose Sabbathia if that brings them closer to a WS which it will. Yes, it will bring us closer to a World Series for one season, then hurt our chances over the next several years. I think we have a better chance of winning a World Series in the next 5 years if we don't "go for it" to that extreme. I think people aren't realizing how bad our pen could be without a good Marmol anyways. The NL is down this year and the Cubs are up. After you have waited for 100 years why wait more when it is right there for the taking this year? Do Cub fans learn anything form history? Yes, I've learned that "going for it" and giving yourself one chance to win it rarely works out. And what does 100 years have to do with anything? I'm sick of that argument. Like I said, I'd rather have multiple chances to win it over the next several years then just getting one big shot this season. I want to win one, period. Spreading your chances out over multiple years gives the Cubs a better chance to win a championship.
