  1. 2? i was thinking at least 5. So you think they'll get swept? Even if they just win one of 4 the Brewers will only gain 2 games. TruffleShuffle is not serious, but if we continue hitting and getting this type of bullpen work, it is no improbable that we can get swept. Teams not named Pirates or residing in the NL West have not been so kind to the Cubs. This Brewer team (pre Sabathia) won 4 of 6 at Wrigley. It was also pre-Harden, among other things.

  3. Ned Yost acting like the Brewers just won the World Series
  4. Unreal. Talk about a gift run.
  5. Well, now we'll likely be at least 2 back after Thursday.
  6. Nevermind, now he's just getting detroyed. 15 hits and he isn't through the fifth.
  7. Check out Homer Bailey's line so far tonight. 4.2 IP, 12 Hits, 0 ER
  8. This better be posturing, because this team is going nowhere without bullpen help. That whole article basically said that they're relying on Wood being healthy for the rest of the season. Has this organization learned nothing?
  9. Man, Todd Jones is so brutal. Talk about a crushing loss for the Tigers.
  10. So how many runs will Milwaukee get in the first? I say 2 on a home run by either Braun or Fielder.
  11. Yeah, that would be a pretty nice move for the Yanks.
  12. Seemed like a smart move to me.
  13. Well, the sweep hurts our chances of winning the division, but it really helps our chances of making the playoffs. Winning the wild card might not actually be the worst thing for this team. In a short series the only 2 teams that can really match up with our 1-2 starters are Milwaukee and Arizona. Obviously we can't possibly play Milwuakee in a short series, and if we win the wild card we'd likely avoid Arizona and play the East winner in the NLDS. I don't think the Mets or Phillies match up well with us in a short series at all. The only question is whether or not home field advantage is more important that all that.
  14. Not as annoying as the Kerry Wood-Joey Cora (Dodgers at the time) match up where Kerry threw 20 pitches in the at-bat only to serve up a HR. That was Matt Clement, not Kerry Wood.
  15. Have you guys seen Derrick Turnbow's PCL numbers this season? Pretty ugly stuff.. 41 BB in 18.0 IP.
  16. Pretty good outing from Z on a night when he wasn't at his sharpest.
  17. What the hell kind of slide was that? Either take out the catcher or make sure you cn touch the plate.
  18. Lou lives and dies by the lefty/righty matchup, no matter what. Well in this case he should. Fontenot blows vs. LHP. 12 At bats this year. Id take my chances. His lack of success vs. LHP is not limited to this season.

  20. Who grounds into the double play.... Blanco or Cedeno?
