    Chris Deluca (Sun-Times) is on the Score and he's saying he talked to a few people close to the situation and they all told him the reason Zambrano missed the MRI is because he had a personal matter to attend to, and that he promised he'd take it today. Thos goes along with what ESPN reported, so I'm going to believe that over this Jesse Rogers guy who keeps changing his story.

    The fact that Zambrano took himself out of the game makes me worry that it might be the second one. I can't imagine Z asking out of the game for something minor.

    Does it matter what Z thinks? What Zambrano thinks doesn't give me much comfort at this point. If he feels like it's the same thing from July then that's probably good news. The MRI will settle the issue. Like I said, best case he strained his shoulder and needs some time off. SHUT HIM DOWN. He can come back the last series and pitch a few innings to see how he feels, and get ready for game 3 of the NLDS. Now they're talking on the Score about how Z just doesn't want to know what's wrong? What the hell? They need to make up their minds.

    Yeah I'm listening to the Score and whoever is talking is saying he doesn't want the Arthrogram. If it's true that he doesn't want it because he's miss a couple starts, that sounds like a good sign in that it probably means he wasn't in a lot of pain or anything and that he thinks it's nothing season-threatening.

    When did they say that? Just now? So.... - He missed it because it didn't think he needed it (the score) - He missed it because of a family matter (ESPN) - He missed it because he didn't want the injection (different guy from the score) Number 2 seems most likely...but number 3 seems pretty Zambrano-esque.

    From espn.com- http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3566853 Also, Tim Kurkjian was on Mike and Mike just now and he was beng pretty negative. It sounded like he was just speculating, but he said that Zambrano only missing a couple weeks and being ready for the playoffs is "unlikely" and that it doesn't look good.

    Because LJ was trash last season even before he got hurt? I haven't really been paying attention...have the Chiefs fixed their O-line at all?

    Keep in mind McGahee isn't fully healthy yet so they'll probably limit his carries this week.

    If we find out it's just the dead arm and he'll be fine with some rest, it will feel like the 5 game losing streak never happened. Again, I don't care what it is and how much of the regular season he misses. I just want him back and at full strength for the playoffs.

    Well, allegiance is a big factor, but you can't just right off the heat. Crowds at baseball games are always partly comprised of casual fans or people that just want to experience something new. When you step outside and you're immediately sweating and miserable, you're not going to want to go outside unless it's for something you absolutely love. I live in Florida and I'll never be used to the heat. It's almost impossible to have fun when it's as hot as it was today. When the Cubs played in Miami a few weeks ago I only ended up going to the Saturday night game. I was planning on going to the Sunday day game but thought better of it when I stepped outside that day. My friends still went and said it was the most miserable they've ever been at a baseball game and didn't even enjoy the win.

    Becuase we all hope that he will be alright. By the way, there are cubs' fans in Taiwan who have watched the Cubs for 5 years or longer and are still watching and caring about the Cubs, althrough many of them even haven't had a chance to come see a Cubs' game in person. So those people are just guessing it was a dentist appointment?
