  1. Not as "meh" as ours would be after Harden and Dempster. Parra and Lilly is about a wash. Dave Bush has like a 1.12 WHIP and Suppan has been pitching very well. I think their rotation woulds hands down be better than ours if Zambrano is out.
  2. It's kind of funny how every time one of our division rivals suffers an injury to a key player, the Cubs end up answering by one of their players going down shortly after. Gallardo goes down...Soriano goes down. Pujols goes down...Zambrano goes down. Sheets looks like he might have gone down...Zambrano goes down again.
  3. Disagree Color me shocked. Why? I get reactionary in game threads but i praise the team just as much when they're going good. You really think the Cubs are better than the Brewers if Z goes down? I really don't. I can see that you aren't interested in debating that though, you'd rather just take a shot at me. Youj're a mod though so it's cool.
  4. I really don't care about any games until we find out about Zambrano.
  5. How long have you been a Cubs fan?
  6. And yet you cared enough to comment and let us know that you're going to skip it. Interesting. It helps him feel important
  7. False info? If the words are that "he's not feeling good" and he's going to see an apparent arm specialist, what's your guess as to the ailment? Strep throat, maybe? You said that he said his arm hurts, which is false. Obviously something is up with his arm, but that doesn't mean he was feeling pain.
  8. Wait, did he say his arm "hurts", or that he just didn't feel good? Big difference. I wasn't listening to the radio; I'm going off what the OP said. Well maybe you shouldn't be posting false info then.
  9. Wait, did he say his arm "hurts", or that he just didn't feel good? Big difference.
  10. I'm beginning to wonder if the Cubs aren't as good as we thought they were. They're still the best team in the league.
  11. So, umm, why is nobody talking about Zambrano? The fact that they've said ntohing about why he was lifted is not good.
  12. This is like the 3rd extended slump for Aramis this season. His average is down into the .270's now
  13. So not only do we lose, but we used Marmol for 2 innings and Wood for 2 innings. Worst possible thing that could have happened. Oh, and Zambrano is hurt.
  14. Why do you care so much about the fact that he's hitting 3rd? It really doesn't matter
  15. Those are numbers. They don't mean anything. You want a runner at second, period. Wait, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. You don't seem like the type that would be in favor of bunting there
  16. Those are very nice numbers. You want a guy in scoring position. obviously not. you cant disprove numbers like that Ummm...I'm not sure if you know what the word "disprove" means. Chances of winning after the Ramirez walk- 0.716 If Derosa gets the sac butn down- .704 That is based on what happened in those situations from 1977-2006. Fact. http://winexp.walkoffbalk.com/expectancy/search
  17. Those are very nice numbers. You want a guy in scoring position. You can say what you want, but statistics show that bunting decreases your chances of winning
  18. Haha I clicked info on directtv and "Scrubs" is supposed to be on WGN right now. Kind of funny
  19. Because you've hit into four double plays already today. And that impacts this how? You want a guy in scoring position. End of story. youre not going to win this I know...groupthink rules all. If by "groupthink" you mean logic
  20. Because you've hit into four double plays already today. And that impacts this how? You want a guy in scoring position. End of story. not at the expense of outs In the ninth. In a tie game. Yes you do. The odds of you winning go down after you bunt, even in the 9th in a tie game.
  21. Give me a break. That wasnt close
  22. So not only did Lou bunt one of our best hitters, he bunted for Casey McGehee. Smart.
