I agree with him to the extent that I don't trust prospects the Braves trade away. More times than not (and I believe a pretty wide margin) they don't amount to anything. Horacio Ramirez, Andy Marte, Damian Moss, Ruben Quevedo, Joey Nation are all examples purely off the top of my head. They've been excellent at identifying young talent and getting rid of the young non-talent at premium prices. Andy Pratt. Excellent point. i can't bleieve how confident i am in this team scoring goals every time i turn on a game. if they go more than like 10 minutes of gamre time without socring a goal it feels like it's a surprise. i haven't felt like this about a team since the 2003-2004 lightning -

EDIT: Would more call it outplaying the other team severely more than "finding a way to win"... no offense intended at all. true that. this team isn't finding ways to win, they're just flat out mashing. not many cheap wins for these guys -

a few weeks ago didn't Lowe make a big deal about how he was all about winning and the team he would choose would be the team that gave him the best chance at winning titles? i know all athletes say that, but i remember him being very adamant about it.

agreed, that .273 slugging % would look great in a cubs uniform Miles career slugging- .364 Burke career slugging- .363 Plus Burke is about 4 years younger, better defensively than Miles, and much cheaper. -
He's going to be on who in the what-what? The new show on Comcast SportsNet from 6:00 AM-9:00 AM with Mike North and Dan Jiggetts. I caught some of it this morning and I was impressed and I'm not even a big fan of Mike North. Is there any way to listen to or watch this online?

That guy said that Peavy was signing autographs "go cubs go", not singing "go cubs go." Huge difference. The rumor is that he was singing the song, no signing autgraphs, and I give it about a 50/50 shot at being true... if that. That article doesn't really confirm anything. To make this silly argument more silly, that guy said signing autographs "Go Cubs" not "Go Cubs Go". "According to a report from Yahoo Sports, "the Cubs remain optimistic they can acquire Peavy." He wants to pitch for the Cubs but "that deal became too complicated, involving three or four teams and numerous players." XM Radio also reported on Thursday that Jake Peavy was signing autographs with 'Go Cubs' included while he was in Las Vegas earlier in the week." Seriously, that small detail needed to be debated? I thought you were just confusing the story. I didn't know anybody had reported that he was signing autographs like that. I'm pretty sure the person that reported that on XM misunderstood what he was told though

The ratings probably won't be good, but I couldn't care less about that. As a fan I think these 2 matchups are really intriguing. The Eagles AT Arizona for a chance at the super bowl? The Ravenas and Steelers getting it on in the snow for a chance at the super bowl? I love those matchups. There are a lot of good storylines too.
