  1. seriously, does anyody think huet is capable of winning 4 playoff series in a row? it's too bad. this is such an amazing team, but i feel like it's all pointless because of huet.
  2. i don't care how good this team has been this year. that's a pathetic and inexcusable loss. and sorry, but we're not winning a cup with huet in net. it's as simple as that.
  3. i dunno. at least 2 of those last 4 goals should have been stopped easily. the hawks (mostly huet) gave them the point.
  4. dumb by them. just put it on net and huet won't see it. he'll just flop around and hope he stops something
  5. can't wait to see huet melt down like this in the playoffs.
  6. are you [expletive] kidding me? GET THIS PIECE OF TRASH OUT OF THE [expletive] GAME and nice job, hendry.
  7. these wild announcers are [expletive] annoying
  8. blowing a 4 goal lead with 12 minutes left would be worse, considering teams average less than 4 goals for an entire game
  9. they should pull huet from the team
  10. how good would the hawks be if we actually had a goalie? man, they're gonna tie this game
  11. what the hell happened to philly? they've been awful for the past 6 quarters
  12. are they going to be able to afford to lock up seabrook?
  13. I'd rather have Pods at 1/$1.75 than Byrd at 3/$15. Better yet, how about a platoon of Reed Johnson and Fuld for the same as Pods is getting paid. Hendry just loves wasting money on average players. This was my proposal all along, but unfortunately, whenever Hendry has a bit of extra money to spend he uses it like an 8 year old with a Toys R Us gift card. what did you think reed johnson was going to sign for?
  14. shut up bully
  15. no, i understood what he was talking about, and i understand we're going to lose some guys. i was referring to the "blowing up" part. Blowing up may not be the right phrase, but I think Hawks fans should consider the situation Anahiem was in 2 yrs ago and Tampa Bay right after they won the Cup. Both teams seemed destined to be powers for years but were hit by the cap by overpaying some mediocre players. Both teams still have large pieces of the core group of players that they won the cups with, but lack the overall depth to be cup contenders now. pretty terrible comparisons How so? tampa never had the young talent the hawks had when they won the cup. the only 2 significant players they had who were young were richards and lecavlier, and both of those guys were already 23. i just dont really see the comparison. that lightning team wasnt young at all, and nobody was talking about them being set as a cup ocntender for several years. i live near tampa (brother has been a hardcore bolts fan since they came into the league), so i followed that team. they were pretty much a team of seasoned veterans. oh and also, the lightning dont still have the core group of the championship team. they have st. louis and a shell of vincent lacavalier. that's it.

Hendry just loves wasting money on average players. so you're admitting that marlon byrd is a league average player? if so, then why are you upset about him making 5 mil? 5 mil a year for a league average position player is not a lot
  17. I think you guys are understating how much cap issues the Hawks are going to have the next couple of years. That is basically what the announcer was talking about. no, i understood what he was talking about, and i understand we're going to lose some guys. i was referring to the "blowing up" part. 18. terrible comparison
  19. well, it is a sham title... eeking out a victory as a heavy favorite and the underdog loses (by far) their most important player almost at kickoff... How is that Alabama's fault? They knocked him out of the game. This perception of big games always confuses me. It's not their fault they knocked McCoy out of the game. It's the fact that they should have rolled easily after knocking him out. Texas had the ball down only 3 with 3 minutes left. I'm a Purdue and Big Ten fan, so I really could care less... just saying... It's not like the Bears losing Cutler, you're right. its 16766 times worse
  20. that would have been awesome if it drilled him in the head

They knocked him out of the game. This perception of big games always confuses me. so you're saying that the injury didn't create an unexpected advantage for alabama? or are you saying that they earned the advantage because they caused him to get hurt? either way, it's wrong. they got lucky with the injury and won because of it, plain and simple. if they were up by like 4-5 TDs right now, i wouldnt be saying anything because that would mean they probably would have won anyways. but 10 points? the lucky break probably won them the game. we should just play flag football from now on so good players dont get hurt that has nothing to do with anything we're talking about, but okay. i'm not discrediting alabama because mccoy got hurt. i'm discrediting them because mccoy missed pretty much the entire game and they almost lost.
  22. Man, those are some sour [expletive] grapes. well, it is a sham title... eeking out a victory as a heavy favorite and the underdog loses (by far) their most important player almost at kickoff... It was fortuitous, for sure. But a "sham"? Not so much. who do you think would have won the game if mccoy didnt get hurt?

  24. Man, those are some sour [expletive] grapes. i didn't even care about the game. i kind of wanted alabame to lose becausew i dislike saban, but i dont really care. i just dont like seeing undeserving teams win a championship. i know theyre 14-0 so i'm not saying they didnt deserve to be here, but they should have blown texas out when mccoy went down. it was kind of embarrassing to let texas make a game out of this. i believe that they won because mccoy went down, and that's too bad.
  25. enjoy your sham title, you fuckin goons
