  1. vokoun is reallly good
  2. You don't want to see what a healthy Pierce without lethal wounds in his face could do to the Bulls in the playoffs. milk even more injuries?
  3. but doesnt is also have something to do with how long a player has been in the league?
  4. im an idiot, so can someone please tell me what a "max contract" is
  5. i believe that he had objections to being called the n-word repeatedly by the ususal suspects in the right field bleachers. many interpret this as him bearing the cubs ill-will, or him simply playing the "race-card" (as we all know, racism doesn't exist anymore after it was decided that black people should just stop paying attention to it) because of sour grapes. that's pretty much what i thought. derrek lee has said more annoying things about cubs fans
  6. I was thinking that as well, despite having limited chances, there's no doubt in my mind the Stars score on some those chances Niemi denied. he wasn't biting at all on anything. the only one that he seemed a little caught off guard by was the post shot, and it was post because he did a good job cutting off the angle.
  7. not really much to complain about. this was one of their better games since the minnesota collapse. the score was close, but the hawks dominated them. the stars took advantage of a couple mixups and pathetic officiating (i'm still pissed about that stolen 5-3). niemi was really good tonight, despite giving up the 3 goals. the only one that was his fault was the rebound on the second goal. he had no chance at all on the 1st and 3rd goals, and was completely money in the OT and SO. also gotta give credit to sopel for playing all 2 minutes of that OT PK. he was huge
  8. more importantly, vancouver lost in regulation tonight so we gain a big 2 points on them. i'm more concerned with them than the sharks
  9. niemi was spectacular in that shootout
  10. unreal. we should be up 6-3
  11. ugh sharp had so much empty net and he shot it right into turco's chest
  12. i can't believe we didn't score that period
  13. hahahahahahahahahaha
  14. that would have been 1:19 of 5-3, so that idiot almost definitely cost the hawks a goal right there.
  15. that's so [expletive] pathetic. if you're going to overturn the call of another ref, you better be CERTAIN, and clearly he wasn't. horrible.
  16. versteeg last 11 games before tonight 0 G, 1 A holy crap
  17. the defensive breakdowns continue to occur at an alarming rate. this is going on for too long
  18. haha turco is terrible
  19. our pp is soooo predictable. pass back and forth along the blue line for like 15 seconds and then fire a shot from the point. it's all they do
  20. dumbass penalty. way to throw away the 5-3
  21. should have just let them touch it immediately still, :52 seconds of 5-3 should be an automatic goal here
  22. he's sooo bad. he went through a stretch for like a month where he was doing way better, now he's just awful again
  23. seriously pathetic officiating
  24. If Thomas was a FA then I would be at least open to the possibility, but his contract is a no-go for me unless Boston took Huet back, which they won't. Now if Cam Ward---I know he's injured---was available that's a different story, but Thomas......thx but not thx. However, you can't count on ward to be healthy or good i think ward's contract is worse than huet's Cam Ward is good and is worthy of his contract. His problem is healthy, not ability. Still, I doubt the Hawks will trade for a goalie, seeing as Boston has officially pulled Thomas off the market. So this back and fourth is kinda moot, now. i don't see how you can be afraid of thomas' cotnract and not ward's, even considering age. ward's career save percentage is .905 and he's never had a season above .916. combine that with the fact that after this season he'll average 6.3 mil over the following 6 years, and noooo thanks.
