  1. has there ever been an offseason like this in any of the 4 major sports?
  2. where's truffle? looks like the flyers are getting nabakov http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/37952034/ns/sports-player_news/ considering what they had last year, that's about as massive an upgrade as you can get in goal.
  3. yeah, it doesn't really matter what he said. the numbers are pretty telling. obviously we don't exactly what it looks like because of these weird rules that we're suddenly learning about, but we're definitely going to lose at least one more guy. really if all we end up losing now is versteeg or ladd, i'd be absolutely amazed/thrilled.
  4. Apparently Ric Bucher said LBJ likes Joe Johnson. So with the reports/rumors now coming out of Johnson and the Knicks, people at RealGM are speculating that the Knicks know that LeBron wants JJ, and they'4re trying to lure Johnson away from the Bulls. Which would mean we'd have to find a way to max Johnson to get him (and LBJ) here. Really though, none of us know anything and we're just running in circles trying to figure out stuff we have no clue about.
  5. I will seriously hug Bowman if he is able to bring this team back under the cap sans Buff, Sopel, Eager and Frasier. That's phenomenal. i think that's impossible
  6. saw this on Mike McGraw's blog
  7. Bosh is also -500. That's ridiculous. I feel like betting against both of them, both because I want to hedge my happiness and because I think that's nowhere near close to a true representation of reality. The New York Times still has some pull I guess. Being the cynic I am, I want to believe the hype, and part of me does, but the other part is waiting for the carpet to get pulled out from under me. I know none of the rumors have been as mainstream as this one, but I still have unhealed wounds from the Kobe to Chicago and Bulls trading for Amare rumors, not to mention Brian Roberts and Peavy for the Cubs. I'm as optimistic as they come, but this is one thing I'll have to see to believe. I do believe it logically could and even should happen... but Bosh's wishes are just a big x-factor to me... I could easily see him going to Miami. More easily than I can see him coming here. yeah, i think he goes to miami too. other than the recent rumors of lebon/bosh coming here together, there has been virtually nothing about bosh to chicago over the last several months. i'm thinking he was never really interested in chicago and wanted to go to miami all along. who knows though i think we're getting lebron and joe johnson.
  8. sounds like lou needs to prioritize better
  9. links? please
  10. even if it's just lebron, they will be
  11. i really don't see a problem with it at all.
  12. i still don't know what dunn's defense is like at first. is it okay? i'd still like him, considering he'll probably come pretty cheap again.
  13. then don't send him down you [expletive] idiots. but hey, i guess it's crucial that we keep a terrible 37 year old on the roster for meaningless games instead instead of letting a younger/better pitcher develop
  14. i don't know much about soccer, but i was loling pretty hard when that dude fell on his own, faked paralysis, got carried off on a stretcher, then immediately got up the second the stretcher was off the field. then he puts like 10 inches of tape around his ankle for good measure.
  15. i wonder how many inches that was from clanking out
  16. his whip was barely under 1
  17. Are you lost? This is a thread about an NBA team. are you lost?
  18. no, lebron's crew said they weren't going to do it. i don't think the league had anything to do with it
  19. I am beginning to think that I would rather have Boozer than Bosh. The Bulls don't need a spot up shooting 4, but a banger who has moves in the post. Isn't that something Boozer does? Bosh is a slightly better scorer, but if the Bulls have LeBron and Rose, Bosh or Boozer isn't going to be putting up more than 20 a game anyway. the main question with boozer is his health. can he stay healthy?
  20. ooooo. that is interesting
  21. that's not the point though. bringing in loria would do nothing to help your chances at winning a title.
  22. if you guys could take bosh and johnson right now, would you do it? i would.
  23. its [expletive] hilarious
  24. what did you say?
