I'm fine with the color guy being a homer. The play by play guy should be more fair though, imo. It's my main problem with Funk. He thinks the Bulls are never ever at fault for anything, ever. Hell, King is more objective than Funk is a lot of times. yea, funk is a straight up a-hole. i can't believe how smug he is about the bulls these days.

not sure why everybody hates the guys who usually call espn games. they aren't bad. hubie brown is really good, and i find guys like shulman and tirico to be competent. in any case, they're light years ahead of the bulls' abomination of a crew.

wait, where did he say this? if he was talking about the offseason between 2003 and 2004, that's amazing. that was like the best cubs offseason of my lifetime (until this one). greg maddux, derrek lee, todd walker, michael barrett, latroy hawkins, and then nomar at the deadline. that was probably hendry's best stretch as the gm.

it was a pretty obvious exaggeration. i assumed by the way i worded it aht people would understand my overall point. i even flat out told you in my last post that i'm not saying the injuries are his fault. i'm saying i don't think he's taking the proper measures considering the all around circumstances of this season. his whole thing has always been "if guys are healthy, they'll play". well, they aren't healthy. what? the only thing to take into consideration now is the pain level. the pain level will not only determine how much he can play the rest of the season, but how WELL he will play the rest of the season. considering he came out and said that the pain has been building up and is forcing him to take a few days off, how can you say it doesn't matter how much he plays? that's all that matters at this point. i just don't see how you can make a defense for playing the guy the second most minutes per game in the nba while he has a torn ligament in his wrist, especially considering he's the bulls second most important player. it's just common sense that you might want to take it easy on him and play it safe. we're trying to make him last through the postseason and we're throwing him out there for 39 minutes a game so we can beat up on a bunch of bottom dwellars and pad our regular season record.

since loul deng's wrist exploded, he's averaged 39 minutes per game. the only guy who averages more per game this season is kevin love. of the 19 games deng has played since the injury, only 7 have been above .500. so you don't think it's a bad idea to play deng for more minutes than almost anybody in the nba while he he has a busted wrist and we're playing garbage teams?

then why are they all so brittle this season? i'm not outright blaming him for injuries, i'm saying he's being careless and not helping. he jerked around rose when his back was messed up, he still plays deng through the 4th quarter even if its a blowout despite his wrist, etc etc. just an idea: if deng is half broken and derrick rose keeps getting broken, maybe you should take it easy on them just to be safe. you know, like maybe let them rest when they're up by 20 with 5 minutes to go. or if deng's wrist is starting to bother him, maybe sit him against a crappy team every once in a while instead of it getting to the point where deng has to tell the media that the pain level is too high and he has to take a week off.
