  1. brewer is a better basketball player than bogans, but bogans actually provided more to this team offensively than brewer does, as crazy as that sounds. at least bogans knocked down the open 3's at a good rate. defenses sag off brewer like crazy because he's completely useless on the offensive end. i don't see any way we score enough points to win 4 series' against good team if brewer is starting at the 2. we can afford to lose defense there to upgrade offensively. i still would have liked crawford over hamilton. we don't really have an irrational-confidence chuckers on this team, so we can afford adding one. jr smith would have been nice too.
  2. hmailton says he'll be out at least a month. a move is now a must. even if by some miracle he's ready tor the playoffs, he still won't be at full speed. what a failure he has been.
  3. this is like the 3rd game where lin has padded his stats in the last few minutes of a blowout
  4. deng says he's going to need to sit a few games because the pain in his wrist is getting to be too much. between this and our lack of a sg, i don't see us winning 4 straight series in the playoffs this year.
  5. rose's shot selection can be pretty brutal these days
  6. has anybody ever followed gammons' twitter? pretty weird stuff
  7. i think the idea of the term linsanity is that it's one word. like insanity.
  8. brett jackson would probably strike out like 180 times if he started with the major league team this season
  9. i'm not necessarily saying that made the wrong decision, but i just watched that press conference and that's a cold-blooded move by the colts
  10. i don't believe this team has the personnel to turn any kind of corner. for this season,i think they are what they are: a low seed team that doesn't have the defense or goaltending to go deep in the playoffs.
  11. what exactly is the situation with mirotic? when can/will he come here? does he have to stay there through the full contract extension he signed?
  12. did you guys hear noah screaming at hibbert for like 10 straight seconds near the ft line? then you could hear a section of fans laughing and cheering
  13. not a great time for a rose catch phrase, stacey
  14. yea a move at sg is a must now
  15. man i'm more concerned with his career than this season. the crosby thing scared the hell out of me.
  16. i do not understand lebron james. he has one of the most absurd halves of basketball i've ever seen, he just made one of the most ridiulous three pointers ive ever seen, and then for the last shot at the buzzer he passes it to udonis haslem. wtf, lebron?
  17. This. Plus looking at how many games Rip has missed over the last 3 seasons (36, 27 and 23 this year), how can you ever expect to count on Rip to be healthy when you need him most? If I were the Bulls id at least consider any potential SG acquisitions that would be an upgrade over Rip even if he was healthy. also sg is really the only position we can upgrade at. we know deng is going to be playing like 42 minutes a game at sf, and even though boozer sucks we have no choice but to ride it out and play him. the only real thing the bulls can do to get better is add another offensive guard and figure out who plays later. i'd do the bobcats pick + brewer for ray allen. i don't value the charlotte pick as much as others might, though.
  18. well keith bogans is horrible so i hope so. i'm not hating on rip or anything, if he can be decent and knock down the good looks that he's bound to get, he represents a massive upgrade. i just think he's way too much of a question mark to turn down a possible upgrade at sg. brewer kind of sucks these days too, so i wouldn't mind too much if he didn't see much time in the postseason. his defense doesn't make up for his complete lack of any offensive game whatsoever, and i think we need offense at the 2 more than we need another d-guy. we're going to play awesome defense regardless. it would be nice to always have a guy in the game at the 2 who can shoot. we'll need it if we want a chance at beating miami.
  19. Because he was doing well before he got hurt? He's tough to guard, since his defender has to chase him all over the court. The last couple of games his shot has been pretty rusty though. Hard to get on him too much about it since nobody else has had their jumpshot working either (4th quarter vs Spurs notwithstanding). he shot .429 from the field last season and .409 the year before. the 11 game sample size before he got hurt doesn't mean much to me. i'm not saying i expect him to suck, but if there's an upgrade available, then "but we have rip" shouldn't be a factor whatsoever.
  20. why are we assuming hamilton will even be good if he's healthy? anyways, by the time we get that pick, lebron may not even be on the heat anymore, and dwyane wade will probably be in a wheelchair
  21. too high pitched
  22. i don't get it. isn't that literally the only guy you'd want to keep around for the future? they should punt this season and trade all of allen/pierce/kg at the deadline. they'd be able to get a lot for all 3 of those guys.
  23. my mind was blown when i found out that westbrook was shooting 47% this season. i knew he had been better, but i figured he was still around 45%
  24. the fact that they were the ones that inititated the brawl with the fans? you can blame whoever you want for what led up to it, but the bottom line is that artest was the one who went into the stands and started it and if artest and jackson don't go into the stands to begin with, it never happens at all. the pacers had some scumbags on their team that lost it and went berserk. thats the pacers fault.
  25. sorry garza, you aren't good enough for a ntc.
