  1. ohtani has been completely insane so far, the angels are relevant, and it still feels like he's already been forgotten
  2. last season taught me not to expect it to be easy, but i didn't think it would be like this. it could/should change in an instant, but i'm past the point of expecting it to. it's just not worth it to be invested in the team right now. every day should be the day the brewers fall off and the cubs take off, and it just won't happen. it's still early, but its not THAT early. I mean, this literally just happened last year, almost to the letter. Last year the Cubs were 5.5 games out of first and 2 games under .500 at the all star break. They won the division by 6 games and the last week of the season was functionally meaningless. Be as mad or disappointed as you want, but it's real hard to feel like they're remotely in uncharted waters. where did i imply they were in uncharted waters? i'm saying it's really annoying that they're in this position again 2 months into the season, sustainable or not. if you're not frustrated, then more power to you, but there is plenty to be frustrated about so far.

There’s like 115 games left and they’re 3-4 games back. It’s plenty early. well yeah, it's plenty early to come back and win the division (and they're still the favorites), but it's not some tiny chunk of the season either. we're almost 2 months in, they need to start winning, especially because the wild card race is looking like it's going to be really crowded.

  5. I’d venture to guess the guy running all this is plenty confident. I can’t imagine he’s all that happy about the execution and Javy’s bunt tonight though. Confident, but not calm. No way stuff hasn't been broken. he's probably just telling jed how much the VBs suck
  6. man 2018 baseball is just frustration week after week, and the fact that things "should" be different just adds to it
  7. how do you do that with 0 outs and needing one run to tie
  8. would you take a run-scoring double play from baez here?
  9. He seems smart enough to have a guy warming up, and after the first hit, will take him out. first hit will be a dinger
  10. the no hitter is just going to force francona into leaving him in too long instead of going to miller, and the cubs will take the lead in the 8th
  11. is that allowed? it seems like you shouldn't be able to do hold him up like that
  12. jd basically calling this pitcher awful and wondering how the cubs can't do anything
  13. Let's get Machado and be done with it. only if russell is traded for someone else
