washington got theirs, so let sj finally get one. we have tb ready to replace them as the powerhouse who always fails in the playoffs.

    he sucks

watching a cubs game now kind of feels like it did in 2013-2014 when the results didn't matter, and we just wanted the key hitters to do well so we could have fun cubs baseball again in the future. just a much sadder and more desperate version.

all our good hitters are declining, we have no good pitchers, and the farm system is barren. go cubs!

on the blackhawks hf forum (i don't know if they're smart, but they're very active), they've pretty much completely written off podkolzin as a blackhawks pick
  9. 17 Seconds
currently on hfboards looking at every team forum's reaction the moment the blackhawks moved up

funny how all those wins probably ended up helping us

also, colorado missed on hughes AND kakko, and they both went to the east instead. with the emergence of debrincat/strome, this, and the money we have to spent in free agency, the hawks are going to be fun again

i want to be happy about this win (no i don't), but if kb is toast then nothing really matters anyways

trade willson and baez, fuggit. we could probably get a crazy haul for those 2 guys. focus on building for a few years from now when theo's monsters are coming off the books.

maybe joe shouldn't have given up in the 5th inning

imagine how dumb this new pitching coach must feel every time he walks to the mound

2 more years after this year. at this point he's probably focusing on just finding a way to leave the cubs in decent position after 2021 so he doesn't face the same criticisms he did when he left boston (even though those were unfair)
  23. 17 Seconds
    it would clearly be zobrist

  25. 17 Seconds
so we're down to like baez and maybe contreras as our 2 good players
