  1. the shirt itself is called a tc tugger, not the knob. pathetic
  2. eloy has been butt again since that Wrigley dinger
  3. de haan is a lot better than the current blackhawk defensemen that you guys are calling middle of the pack. Do you guys remember the defense last year? I dont see how you can call adding any kind of solid defenseman redundant at this point. we need those too. obviously he doesn't fill the need for a top pairing guy, but hes a clear upgrade over almost everyone on the roster, and he doesn't effect the pursuit of an elite defenseman. he barely makes a dent in the huge amount of cap space we have going forward (even considering strome and debrincat getting paid next offseason), and we still have arguably the best group of defensive prospects in the nhl. we got a hjalmarasson type for scraps. I stand by my reaction.
  4. everybody outside of nsbb is calling this a huge steal for the hawks. The athletic sure didnt they're in the minority then
  5. something has to change. this horsefeathers is so stale
  6. everybody outside of nsbb is calling this a huge steal for the hawks.
  7. Eh. it's a something for nothing trade, so sure. He really shouldn't be higher than a third pairing guy on a team that has any playoff aspirations, and right now he's probably on the second pairing (with Jokiharju, behind Keith/Murphy), neither of which inspires a ton of confidence. Seabrook remains the $8m elephant in the room. There were rumors of them trying to trade down to 10th in the draft just to dump his contract. Sounds like this guy is fine, but at $4.5m for three more years at his age, he could be a cap liability in a hurry. 28-31 is not old, and 4.5 is super cheap for a top 4 d-man. he took less to stay in carolina when he signed that contract. and no player at 4.5 million is really a cap liability now. he'd be easily movable at pretty much any point.
  8. You people will miss kb's easy .900 ops when he signs somewhere else
  9. now it's really a kick in the nuts that his defense fell off a cliff. otherwise he'd actually be earning his salary this year
  10. everyone is calling this an awesome deal for the hawks (and people never say that about hawks moves)
  11. houston isn't going to stay stacked forever, especially pitching wise. they're going to lose one elite ace to age pretty soon, and then they'll either lose cole this offseason or have to pay him crazy money.
  12. bellinger and yelich have been bonds this season, and yet i look up the leaders in fwar and mike fuckin trout is still at the top
  13. i look forward to seeing theo's new millstone in wrigley
  14. wait, what the hell am i looking at here?
  15. hawks moved up 9 spots and then capitalized on it by taking hayden simpson
  16. losing all these close games is horsefeathering killing us
  17. reminds me of one of my favorite non-cubs baseball moments ever
  18. seems like a likable dude
  19. almora definitely knocks his helmet off on purpose when he's running so you can see his hair
  20. This is an incredibly dumb statement, even for you. it is? when were you less optimistic about the future since he took over?
