At this point, it wouldn't be a bad idea. Too bad the players would be Rich Hill, Felix Pie, Sean Gallagher, Ronny Cedeno, Sean Marshall, and Jose Ceda. I don't mind getting rid of Hill and Pie. You are increasing my suspicions that this is a joke account
You're on. These threads are ridiculous. That's actually a good bet. I'm inclined to double the bet Soriano will hit his trademarked meaningless 9th inning solo home run with us down 5. Don't take the bet. I...I have no words
Any word on whether Cedeno's still hitting the town pretty hard? The only feasible explanation I can think of for why Theriot is in instead of him today.
Well to be fair a ton of rookies have gotten a chance and stuck. Soto, Marmol, Theriot, Font, etc... After the abysmal failings of the signings of Kendall and Trachsel (and Lou's insistence on playing him over Marshall down the stretch). Even Dusty plays Soto right now, probably starts him based on the numbers he put up in September.
This is not a good idea, and even if it were, it's not fair to Pie. I see zero chance of a platoon between Cedeno and Pie, for reasons other than the fact that Cedeno is considerably better against righties.
Cedeno hits righties much better than lefties, IIRC. Johnson is fine if used properly, as discussed in the OP. Cedeno should play everyday and I don't care where he plays. Did you see the throw he made from 3B tonight?
I feel like this is the kind of Russian Roulette where every chamber is loaded. and all you can really do is pray for a manufacturing defect. Mechanical defect works on both levels Continue to play way above your skill set Fontenot! Thanks!

I was thinking this as well. I'm still kind of incredulous that Brewers fans still consider Sheets their #1. Accidents waiting to happen should be re-evaluated a bit and the best starter with at least a chance of staying healthy should be considered as such.
I also thought Kerry Wood should have hit for himself and gone out there again in the tenth. Double-switching Henry in there for him was really not smart. Wood had thrown few pitches and looked great out there. And Marshall's usage this year is beyond stupid. So frustrating.
That being said, putting him in the pen would be stupid. We need him as a starter this season. If he has to be removed, then let him start in Iowa until he finds his control. Agreed. Move Hill back to AAA, call up either Cotts or Gallagher, and put Lieber or Marshall in the rotation. [-X No Cotts
