    Soooo, JH is assuming he'll still be here to draft him 3 or 4 years hence..... He's walking on to a mid-major program, I think it's fair assume that he's not someone the Cubs are interested in signing, this was a courtesy pick as there have been others as well. Heh, I worded it poorly, but I was actually referring to the assumption (drawn from his promise) that he (Hendry) would still be Cubs GM 4 years from now... I realize the kid is a marginal prospect

    I think we've been plagued by mediocrity (that's me being positive), not injuries. Losing Rammy hurts, obviously, but a team w/ a $130+ million payroll shouldn't be this inept

    On what basis could you even make such a statement? How often do you see every single first basemen in the National League? You couldn't possibly be able to make a good judgment on how he compares to everyone else. I'm not trying to finger you out in particular, but statements such as "I think he is a good defensive first baseman" well... on just anecdotal and observational evidence its very hard to make a strong claim to that. Don't mean to stick my nose in, but he wasn't making a comparative statement... He merely stated that he views DLee as a "good defensive first baseman." He didn't rank him nor compare him to anyone else

    KW will always be one of my top 5 Cubs of all time. Even when I see him blow a save against the Cubs, is like a stab in the gut. It's bittersweet, I love it that the Cubs tied it, but it sucks it had to be at the expense of KW. Really? I can't understand that. I'm upset he's not wearing a Cub uni, but I REALLY want to beat him. For me, when it comes to competition, I get more satisfaction out of beating a friend than a stranger...
