  1. Gameday coming to Illinois. http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/2449
  2. Does he read NSBB?
  3. Never been there but I see the signs for it all the time. Actually, used to see them since I-64 is shut down right now. Never been either, but I did drive past it and it didn't look like anything special.
  4. Poor bastard. Where you living? I'm starting law school at SLU, so I am living in a converted mansion across the street from campus on Lindell. It's right next door to that giant Moolah Temple. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, but I'm not far from the CWE. I don't have the internet up and running at my apartment yet, so I have to walk to campus to check my email etc. I thought I could get by not having the web at my place, but I've already talked myself into springing for it. so you're within walking distance of Pappy's. Lucky. http://www.pappyssmokehouse.com/
  5. so who were the subs? Kosuke-CF Fox-LF Blanco-SS and Hoffpauir-IB?
  6. Maybe they'll move Hart up to Saturday to give Dempster the extra day and have him go Sunday like originally hoped. According to The Cub Reporter it's Wells, Hart, Harden this weekend.
  7. you don't see pujols buckle on a slider down the middle very often.
  8. wish we'd stop hitting rockets right to pujols.
  9. I didn't watch yesterday's game. Did we get into the bullpen early? Not that it matters since I think the cardinals are carrying 20 pitchers. Good to see Soriano lay off the slider off the plate
  10. first two batters hit the ball hard, hopefully that continues.
  11. that's why you bunt, get Fuku in scoring position.
  12. I think I figured out Soriano's struggles. He was sitting next to Miles in the dugout.
  13. If Wells grew up a Cubs fan in Belleville, IL he was probably the only one. Why are announcers so stupid?
  14. Agreed. I'm of course happy to see him coming back, but given the limited number of games before the ASB he'd be able to play in and the nature of his injury I'd prefer if they just waited until after the break. I can see the advantage of coming back before the all-star break. The break will give him a chance to ease back into playing everyday without missing as many games.
  15. Santo "Fontenot is a guy that needs to tur.... Pat "Easy grounder to first, inning over." right on cue, fontenot.
