  1. I really wish this was a Minor League game thread. I'm bored with this season without them.
  2. Never play in a league without weekly waivers. My girlfriend's league is a joke, I go to Bears games and when I get home she bitches about how all her friends' boyfriends picked people up during the Sunday games. My league is monthly add/drop drafts, it's awesome.
  3. O/U set for 49.5 this game....could never take that Over. Ridiculous high.
  4. And like 4 years younger and millions of dollars cheaper.
  5. Ben Wells 4 FO/0 GO?!?!?
  6. http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/7144 Some good stuff in Bruce's blog today. His Minor League POTY's: Eric Jokisch - PItcher Justin Bour - Hitter And just an interesting quote since I was asking about Tim Saunders the other day. From Tim Wilken: On finding Chiefs shortstop Tim Saunders in the 32nd round, Wilken told the paper: “He’s a prospect, not just an older collegiate guy. He runs well, has a good arm and can play two or three positions. He squares the ball up pretty good. To have a guy like that in 32nd round, I’m a very pleased guy.”
  7. Yeah, the national people are saying Locker likes Wright more than Britt at this point.
  8. Iowa would be in for a long ass year if they didn't have the easiest first 5 games in all the BCS.
  9. Wow, 74/88 BB/K this year. Impressive .402 OBP to go along with a .298 Average.
  10. You spelled ridiculous wrong. I said, it's a possiblity he will never play football again. Possiblity. That's two years in a row of season ending injuries. If you think it's a given that he comes back for sure, you are the one being ridiculous. Actually you said 'quite reasonable' which to me is a lot different than 'possible'.
  11. "He was fortunate to have one for a year." That's true [expletive] right there.
  12. Clearly? Come on, he could end up anywhere at this point still.
  13. Wow, he looks slimmer/more muscular there.
  14. Stay out of my stadium. Go back to South Dakota. Oh and my girlfriend went to Iowa, I hope NIU beats the [expletive] out of them somehow.
  15. I never pieced that together, but it is accurate and horrifying. Very true upon further review. I hope Aaron Rodgers drowns in melted cheese.
  16. Just from watching MLB Network, I like: Mike Krukow - Giants Jim Palmer - O's Bert Blyleven - Twins Jim DeSchaies - Astros Ray Fosse - A's Rod Allen - Tigers Mark Grant - Padres (My Fav broadcast team in general, love Enberg too)
  17. Maybe Beane needed 40 man space and now owes Theo a favor? I know these comments were sort of made in jest but I don't think it's that far off. This was simply a change of scenery trade for 2 guys struggling in the minors. Theo and Beane know neither of these guys are ever going to become major league caliber so why not give them a little hope with a new organization?
  18. There are definitely reasons why I can see people disliking him. He's kind of smarmy, and he left his wife for a pop singer. That. But, this is also someone who changed people's lives beyond sports.
  19. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=53784&start=1725#p2847697 Jim Callis chimed in on Saunders last week. Oh wow, nice to see a fellow DIII baseball alum doing well I guess.
  20. And Candelario has to be the prospect that fluctuates the most for me as far as where I'd rank him and overall impression.
  21. So I see Tim Saunders is old and was a 32nd round pick but who is he really and why is he doing so consistently well?
  22. AGonz is OPS'ing .971 since the ASB, I think he's fine.

  24. :clapping: :good: About time.
  25. And what sort of record did Maples break? Hayden Simpson with probably a top 3 performance of his ever illustrious career.
