  1. Comcast just showed the Cubs dugout. It is so flooded that Eyre, Howry and couple other guys (Wood I think) had to literally swim back to the clubhouse. Water was flowing from the field, into dugout, down the tunnel (about 3 feet high).
  2. what the crap....i saw more hot chicks at IWU than these chicks....and that's saying something...ugh  You sure you wanna take it that far?
  3. I would think the weather would be OK from here on out. I guess it's just a question of waht the field looks like. The water in the streets is slowly but surely going down. I would have to guess yes, the game will get in.
  4. Wrigleyville is basically completely flooded. Water is up past the sidewalks and almost touching the buildings.
  5. I urge any of you who posted in yesterday's Game Thread to review your postings. I was at the game and read it this morning. There were certain posters who were just acting childish (you know who you are). "Fake rally" was posted literally 150 times. I just think that constructive information and critique is more useful than whatever went on with most people last night.
  6. This makes me feel like it was a fair deal on both sides: Vasher, meanwhile, was more interested in receiving a lucrative extension with the reigning NFC champions than hitting the open market following the upcoming season. “It’s an exciting time right now and it’s just good to get it done and over with,” Vasher said. “The whole process went well. I made no bones about wanting to be here and my agent understood that. Mr. [Jerry] Angelo and those guys really stretched and made it work, so I’m really happy about it.
  7. Who said we aren't signing Tillman? Where are you getting that? Yeah, it will get done. Angelo knows which one is harder to replace. They actually said on the radio that a deal is "in the works".
  8. Just confirmed on the score. Yeah, I saw Jersey's link just as he posted it. I am glad to have Nathan, I think he's a hard worker and a great guy. I just hope we can get the guy who would be truly hard to replace, Tillman.
  9. My buddy just told me the Bears extended Vasher for 5 years (not confirmed info, just his word). This is odd because I thought they were going to wrap up Tillman first (seeing as that he's much more valuable). But he also told me they are in the process of getting Tillman done.
  10. One promising factor is that Francis has been atrocious @ Wrigley. IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP BAA 11.1 16 11 11 1 4 5 8.74 1.76 .333
  11. I just wouldn't see the point of this, because it would mean derosa to LF and since De ro can handle 2b well enough it wouldn't make any sense. And considering Sori has saved us about 10 runs with his arm from LF.
  12. They will need another DT still IMO. I'm not sure getting another one is all that possible, or necessary. Sure, if there is a quality guy out there, they should take a look. There are 6 on the roster right now. Harris, Dusty, Adams, Idonije are practically locks to make the roster. Garay is also a good bet. They signed an undrafted rookie who might be able to provide some depth. They've added Bazuin to the D-end rotation, so the defensive line as a whole is pretty well stocked right now. Don't be surprised to see Alex Brown lined up on the inside. Antonio Garay impressed me a bit last year too. At least as a #3/4 guy.
  13. Like 8 people just posted that Corey Hart hit a HR.
  14. This really doesn't excite me today. Although the only change I would have made would be Theriot. I would prefer Izzy to play against a RHP.
  15. Ronny's the best. You can catch him at the team hotel bar after every road game.
  16. Keep em coming. I'm wonder when Ron will crack open the bottle of Scotch. I just got home and flipped on the radio - did you already get the update where he was complaining about how bad our offense is in light of how bad the opposing starting pitching was supposed to have been? I was glad to hear it out of him. Now that I'm finally listening and posting, they're doing well. Unfortunately, I'm only on lunch and have to get back soon, so I hope they can put together all six or seven runs now. Yeah, on Gameday Audio there have been a few in-between innings where you can hear their convos and Ronny has been hilarious. You would think they would realize people can hear them.
  17. Keep em coming. I'm wonder when Ron will crack open the bottle of Scotch. It's also pretty hilarious to hear them talk about the new Chinese players' names. Pat says them and Ron just cracks up. Pat: Wei Wang....I hear he's way cool!
  18. Haha... Santo: "Oh God, this team is brutal!" Sorry for all the updates, it's just funny. And I know you can all picture it in your head.
  19. Can't make out Ronny's words this commercial break, but he's doing all the talking with laughter in the background.
  20. Are you serious?!?!? Thats hilarious!! Dead serious. Like a 30 second rant. In the background you can hear a lady saying, "Ronnie...stop it"
  21. Oh my....is anyone listening to Gameday Audio? Santo is flipping out during the commercial break (obviously assuming nobody can hear him) "It's the same god damn thing everyday. It's like watching a @$%#$%@ minor league team."
  22. I'm pretty sure Barrett had to be dealt because neither Lou nor the pitching staff likes him (feels comfortable with him behind the plate).
