  1. So it is either run it back with Flus/Getsy and Fields, or clean house? But if getting rid of Getsy means cleaning house, I'm fine with it, as long as Fields doesn't take off with another team.
  2. For me, it's less then 25% chance of Flus getting fired. As frustrating as Flus can be, the defense showing life and the Bears doubling the wins from 3 to 6+ has bought Flus another season, imo. Is it possible the Bears could "David Ross" Matt Eberflus if the right coach became available, sure, but I don't think it's likely. Poles/Flus, imo, will be back in 2024.
  3. I'm still butthurt about Chase Claypool, so I prefer no dealing with Pittsburgh for awhile. With that said....NO to trading picks for a coach. Total waste of assets, imo. ----- As for the QB decision, what if Poles does not like Williams/Maye?
  4. Agreed. I rather be in the Dodgers spot.
  5. I cannot articulate my thoughts at this moment other than to say that buying a superteam, like the Padres have tried to do, rarely works out. Now if you are the Astros or Cubs and currently the Braves who developed their own prospects into a superteam, I'm all for that. I apologize if I wasn't clear with what I was trying to say.
  6. Other than the 09 Yankees, I cannot think of another superteam that's won recently.
  7. And? All this offseason has done for the Dodgers is making Dave Robert's seat very warm. If Robert's can't win a title with this roster, then he is done in LA.
  8. Or you could ask Vince Young Eagles, Payton/Malone Lakers, or the current San Diego Padres. It rarely works.
  9. What will the Dodgers excuse be when they fall short again? Dream teams don't work in pro sports.
  10. We know DJ Moore do not want the Bears to draft a QB.
  11. I think you are going to be disappointed. I know people are going to be incredulous but I think Ebeflus will be back in 2024. Getsy is gone 100.
  12. At least Hoskins can be the Cubs if they want, I want to believe Jed and company is talking to the Guardians about any combination of Naylor/Bieber/Clase and are currently running through names. It does bother me that the Chicago Cubs are afraid to act like a big market team. Your biggest off-season acquistion cannot be the manager.
  13. May being the key word. Unfortunately, Jed is going to be the reason the Cubs cannot get over the hump.
  14. Well, you're going to need new owners for that to happen.
  15. Same here. The Cubs have shown very little gumption--especially under Jed--- at acquiriiring velocity, so why start now with Glasnow. Better hope Ben Brown and Cade Horton can be those guys at some point in 2024.
  16. Maybe Imanaga? We know the Cubs are interested in him.
  17. My goodness, we need a transaction badly.
  18. If that happens, I suspect the Bears will keep Fields.
  19. I'm just going lol when the Dodgers fail yet again to win the WS in 2024. I wonder what their excuse be then?
  20. Bleachernation said it best: "But if you favorite team needs that break to beat the Bears, then maybe your favorite team isn't all that good."
  21. Maybe the Cubs are focusing more on the Guardians.
  22. I can say the same thing about Williams/Maye. Sucks that the Bears will have the #1 pick and only Williams/Maye to pick from. Blah. Oh and....Bears have now won TWO GAMES IN A ROW. First time under Flux (not counting preseason).
