That would be the most half-ass idea Jed and company could come up with, if Jesse is correct. If you don't intend to sign Tucker long-term, then don't bother even wasting assets to acquire him.
I saw a post on Bleacher Nation who reference a Jim Bowden article on The Athletic that connected the Cubs to Carlos Estevez. As for the Cubs actually signing Estevez, I'm have not seen anything about that.
I would not give up both Horton and Shaw. I would hold onto Shaw. I think the Cubs have more than enough secondary pieces to make that trade work without having to include Shaw.
