  1. A cyclist who's been doping?
  2. Maybe it's because Rothschild doesn't know how to deal with Hill (but others in the organization do...i.e. Alan Dunn)? Well I can't believe that when he comes up to the bigs he forgets how to pitch? Is it possible his stuff isn't any good against ML hitters? I guess we'll never know unless he gets the chance to take the bump for the rest of the year... Scouts seem to think he has the stuff to be 3-4 starter in the big league. His stuff is fine, esp. if the change has progressed. He's been too dominant at AAA to be considered a AAAA-player - you're not going to post sub-2 ERAs, sub-1 WHIP and 6-1 K-BB ratios and be a AAAA player. His control obviously hasn't been good in the bigs so far, and he's far too hitable (which in part relates to his control/how he locates his pitches). He definitely needs to keep pitching without a short leash.
  3. It was a pleasure doing business. :)

  5. I like it when Derwood doesn't post in my game threads. maybe if your avatar was that new UCLA recruit getting his skin pulled off.... btw, 4 pages in the Game Thread before the game has started? When did people start caring again? My sig is of THE DON. Don't piss him off or he'll have your skin pulled off. As long as Veal keeps his walks down...He's got a bright future... And get his flyouts down a bit as those will translate to more HRs at AAA and the big leagues. But I'm confident he'll make the adjustments needed as he progresses.

  7. People don't quit on Dusty! :P EDIT: With how bad the Cubs are, you'll probably miss a couple starts.
  8. Really? Aren't some those seats in the upper deck rather high up? I've never been there, so my impression is strictly based on eatching games on TV. I dont remember them being that high The nosebleeds aren't fun, but c'mon...they're $8. I've only been there once about 15 years ago, so I don't remember them too clearly.
  9. They do make you enter at certain games, but you can still move up. You just gotta know how to do it and when to do it. It's really easy on non-weekend games. And I didn't realize we had a Royals fan, but welcome aboard, ResidentRoyalsFan!
  10. Tick Tock Raisin, Tick Tock. why are you putting all that pressure on him? he'll propose to you when he's good and ready. Aww, someone's jealous.

  12. We have all the NSBB newborns and now we're having a string of NSBB weddings! Congrats!!
  13. Heading down there this weekend. I'll try to post some kind of summary. Awesome! Hooray Bears.
  14. Oops, missed one:
  15. While Ramirez isn't a FA, he does have the opt out clause.
  16. I've said it before and I'll say it again, just move them to the California League. I say kick out the Angels' High-A team in Rancho Cucamonga and move in. O:)
  17. Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Jae-Kuk Ryu (4-6, 3.76 ERA, 91 IP, 1.27 WHIP) @ RHP Edgar Gonzalez (2-4, 3.97 ERA) West Tenn: RHP Federico Baez (2-0, 1.90 ERA, 38.2 IP, 1.03 WHIP) @ RHP Homer Bailey (4-0, 0.88 ERA) Daytona: RHP Mark Holliman (7-6, 4.25 ERA, 103.2 IP, 1.26 WHIP) vs. RHP Kyle Kendrick (5-4, 4.15 ERA) Daytona: RHP Ryan Bicondoa (with North Shore: 6-0, 1.57 ERA, 57 IP) vs. RHP Julio de la Cruz (4-7, 4.47 ERA) Peoria: RHP Scott Taylor: (6-5, 3.39 ERA, 98.1 IP, 1.20 WHIP) vs. RHP Sendy Vasquez (7-6, 3.04 ERA) Boise: RHP Kitt Kopach (0-0, 2.25 ERA, 4 IP, 1.50 WHIP; overall: 0-0, 2.30 ERA, 15.2 IP) Mesa: RHP Marco Carillo (2-0, 2.55 ERA, 17.2 IP, 11/4) or LHP Taylor Paker (1-0, 1.80 ERA, 25 IP, 17/6) *Take Mesa's probable starter with a grain of salt as they shuffle their pitchers from the rotation to the pen with frequency. It's especially problematic predicting who'll start when the previous day's game is rained out. Ryan Bicondoa is making his Cubs system debut. The Jaxx face (in my opinion) the top pitching prospect in the game, Homer Bailey.
  18. Buck Coats supposedly made a very slick catch to rob the XBH.
  19. Yes sir. http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/multimedia/audio.jsp?sid=t451
  20. Yeah, he blooped a single. Meh, McGehee doesn't come through...
  21. The suspensions and injuries to subside in Boise? (And I hope that's all it is.) Let's go, Fontenot!
  22. Man, if Tucson continues to threaten every inning, they're bound to break through eventually.
