  1. If you assume all pitchers break and often, maybe it's better to get them coming off injury rather than when they're healthy and about to break? Nothing behind that theory.
  2. 15th rounder: RHP Noah Edders, Troy (senior) Previously went to Bradley and Downers Grove South HS
  3. 14th round: RHP Kaemyn Franklin, Victory Christian HS (OK) Kohl Franklin's younger brother. Had Tommy John a few months ago.
  4. The Brewers are still doing their universally praised thing of taking 4th-6th round graded prep kids (or even lower graded kids from the North) in rounds 11-20.
  5. The Cubs will spend their full allotment. They always go to the edge of the 5% overage. We just might not like how they get there.
  6. Angels swinging big finally with their Bremner savings: Talon Haley in the 12th.
  7. Was very well regarded out of HS and had a good freshman year but the arm is messed up.
  8. I assume Wing is getting ~$1 million, which would be nearly $400k over slot. Using Pipeline's rankings, he was ranked 87th and slot for 87 is $907k. Obviously teams don't use Pipeline or BA to rank/pay prospects but it feels like a good baseline to use. (Also after a few years of guessing on this, I've realized I should err on the side of assuming a larger bonus for prep prospects drafted after day 1.)
  9. 10th rounder: C Justin Stransky, Fresno St. Another senior, Not ranked by anyone:
