  5. No Cubs got into today's Mesa game.
  6. seems that either he or I does not understand the posting process. The team that pays the most in the bidding process (and thus "appropriately evaluates my ability") will get him. EDIT: TT is much faster than me.
  7. I've seen 10 seconds of this game and I already hate that ref. Technical on Hinrich for that? Wow. Skiles sure was right about how yesterday was just one game in the season...ugh.
  8. Donnie had a reputation of being smart prior to this interview, which is where I made my assumptions. Goony's right, Veal spent his freshman year at Arizona and his second year at Pima CC and was drafted after that season (he transferred because of his labrum injury and knew he wouldn't get playing time with the Wildcats while rehabbing). I'm thinking that if teams passed on him in the draft because of his medical school aspirations, they were likely attainable.
  9. Cal Poly Pomona vs. UCLA at Pauley this Thursday! Basketball season can't come soon enough.
  10. He's got a slider that I like too, but it can be inconsistent.
  11. Awesome, he was studying to be a doctor and that scared off a few teams in the draft. I had heard he was really smart, but wow. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/features/262735.html The highlights:
  12. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/news/262741.html Three felony charges: One count for heroin possession and two for possession of stolen vehicles. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer.
  13. And yet, that play didn't warrant a foul.- Posey is such a cheap-shot artist. I'm still pissed about the body check he gave Hinrich in last year's playoff, and now runs his elbow high and breaks Tyrus' nose. I think he was the one who guided Tyrus into the basket support earlier in the game, too. I try not to wish injury on anyone, but I'll make an exception in James' case. Bastard. Yeah, I completely agree. I hope Posey gets what's coming to him.
  14. Walter Payton passed away 7 years ago today. :( http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Walter-Payton---Airbound-Photograph-C11666243.jpeg
  15. Culiacan wins 4-1, box: 3B C. McGehee 1/3, R, BB (7) Overall: 19/60, .317/.388/.517/.905, 2 HR, 6 2B, 7 BB, 6 K, 4 E
  16. Caribes beat the Leones 9-6, box: Caribes: CF C. Walker 0/0, HBP, SB (13) - left game in bottom of the 4th inning Leones: C H. Blanco 0/4 Tigres win 11-9, box: CF B. Coats 3/5, 2 R, HR (3), 2 RBI Overall: Chris Walker (Caribes): 18/62, .290/.392/.387/.779, 3 HBP, 8 BB, 11 K, 1 HR, 13/15 SB Henry Blanco (Leones): 11/35, .314/.333/.400/.733, 1 BB, 2 K Buck Coats (Tigres): 10/48, .208/.283/.396/.678, 1 HBP, 4 BB, 9 K, 3 HR
  17. Licey lost 13-3, box (PDF): CF F. Pie 1/3, RBI (9) Overall: 13/42, .310/.326/.381/.707, 1 BB, 7 K, 2/2 SB
  18. Actually he's very talented, he just hasn't picthed well. I think there is a difference. What leads you to believe he's talented? Not being sarcastic, just asking. He has good stuff.
  19. Broken nose, headed back to CHicago for a mask. And yet, that play didn't warrant a foul. Doesn't sound *too* bad.
  20. Great start to the season.
  21. Tyrus is taking shots tonight. That one wasn't even called a foul, what the heck?
  22. Bears and Bulls will make up for the Cubs.
  23. DUHON! That looked painful for Tyrus.
  24. This game is being capped off by the Heat fans booing their own team. :)
