  1. Well, Gordon is in foul trouble too.
  2. Wow, it has all fallen apart. Started when Hinrich went to the bench.
  3. Man, I forgot how bad/inconsistent NBA refs really are.
  4. Really, what has Tyrus shown that a handful of guys in the d-league can't do? He had a nice block on Shq and that is about it. With all his years of experience playing basketball... Well he has played three years now at least. I mean he is an impressive athlete, no doubt. That said I think you would find a lot of those on the AND 1 tour. I really hope I am wrong, but Pax should have just picked Roy. Yeah, it sounds like you are jumping to conclusions way too early. Nobody said TT was going to be a great shooter. He is what he is, and he's going to have to develop a shot. Not going to happen in a couple games----and nobody is expecting it to. I guess, I just think he is basically another guy at a position we have well covered with Deng, and Noc. We could have used a big 2 who could score, which Roy is. And that could be Thabo too. I like Roy a lot too, but there's nothing wrong with Tyrus - he brings a lot of elements that the team sorely lacks. That was an ugly first half, at least the Bulls lead it by 6.
  5. He has struggled quite a bit in the big leagues and has holes in his offensive game.

  7. Thabo and Tyrus are gonna be great.

  10. When he started down there.
  11. I was more referring to the average A's fan, not the die hards. That's just been my impression of the East Bay and my friends down here from that area.
  12. UCLA beat DII Cal Poly Pomona 73-43 at Pauley. The loudest ovations came when they showed Jordan Farmar and John Wooden in the crowd and when they showed highlights of the Gonzaga game. :)

  16. I need to ask, why is your avatar an old Pepsi commercial? To make Vance jealous?
  17. Probably sometime at the end of next week (Friday seems to be the latest). Are we even sure we're actually in it? Based on indications a few weeks ago, the Cubs were planning on putting in a bid for Daisuke. They haven't been singled out for pulling out of the process like the Angels, Marines, Orioles and Giants have. The Cubs seemed more interested in other Japanese pitchers, so they might not have much confidence in putting up a winning bid Daisuke.
  18. Agreed, which is why I think the Cubs would be wise to keep him there for a while. The reason for concern though is that it appears to be a mental thing for Eric as he appears afraid of the ball being hit to him now. So far today, he's had 3 chances at second base and done well on all three. If it's just a confidence thing, I would hope a little good play would bring his confidence back. He has the skills to be an above average defensive second baseman.
  19. Wow, no Angels, Mariners or Orioles. Good to hear so far that the Cubs haven't dropped out too. I'd guess that the Rangers and Yankees are now the leading contenders. Probably sometime at the end of next week (Friday seems to be the latest).
  20. I'd rather Marmol get the innings as a starter, the more experience he gets the better. He can convert to the pen in the big leagues. The Cubs won't move EPatt to the OF right away, and I don't blame them. He's more valuable at 2B, better to make sure his defense is completely sho t before moving him to another position.
  21. And Barry is pretty popular in all parts of the Bay.
  22. Voter fraud!!! Yeah, I'll vote.
  23. Both of them will move all over the place. Moore because Aramis might be blocking him and McGehee will be at 1B quite a bit and hopefully even C. We'll see how long EPatt can stay at 2B if his regression on defense continues.
  24. Ooo, they have a top 10 for 2008.
