  1. A Notre Dame win, followed by lack of voter impression on the quality of ND. USC win against ND followed by a UCLA win the week after. :D
  2. Scott Koerber will indeed start in tonight's championship game, per MiLB.com. In terms of regular season stats, Scott Koerber finished tied for fifth in the HWL in strikeouts with 41, tied for second in HRs allowed with 4, fifth in IP with 35.0 and tied for the league lead in wins with 4.
  3. Don't see the Angels trading him, they'll play him at 3B (unless Dallas McPherson starts playing well).
  4. Perfect timing by the NFL...Ricky Manning Jr suspended for the Pats game.
  5. Ooo, nice find. I looked through the other teams' stats and didn't find any other Cubs.
  6. Hopefully KU beats them.
  7. I second that I'm sure that he was talking about the Giants game. Too bad Soul wasn't.

  11. Dobson and UK: I have a friend from San Luis Obispo County who played ball in HS with Derrick Jasper and has been giving rave reviews for a few years. He looked good today...reminds me a little of Tayshaun Prince on defense.
  12. Fake Post: Take your time, thanks!!! :)
  13. Gotta play better tomorrow to beat the Yellow Jackets. Good game from the Wildcats, especially after they got down big early.
  14. Jordan Farmar who? :D Wow, Mata has improved leaps and bounds over the last few years. Please don't get hurt this year, Lorenzo.
  15. Thanks ESPN for pulling a WGN and missing a UCLA free throw and a Kentucky possesion..
  16. It's not that I agree. But attention has to be drawn to this. Well played. Guzman has the potential (still) to be lights-out awesome. Even when he was struggling this year in the majors, his stuff was filthy, and he occasionally looked absolutely dominant. Unfortunately, it was usually only for a couple pitches at a time. Given that he's basically coming off 2 years worth of injury, I'm willing to forgive that inconsistency for the moment. Let's hope he stays healthy and straightens things out this season in the minors - and maybe get a spot in the rotation part way through the year. I agree that Guzman is cooked, he hasn't even been prepared. His fastball is straight as an arrow w/ no movement. IIRC the games I watched him pitch - the majority of his fastballs were being fouled off, then eventually basehits. Basically, every hitter was seeing the ball and finally catching up to it. Pitch count = high in the early innings which lead to short outing. He has no command of his curve. I'd trade him in a heartbeat. Overated. The point being he hasn't pitched much in 2.5 years and has been rusty. His pitches aren't going to come back to being the plus pitches they were before injury right away. He had above average control and command before the injuries and those are generally the slowest to return. He showed flashes of why he was so highly rated and I wouldn't give up on him based solely on his performance last year,
  17. Did you hear this from someone higher up in the organization!? :fishing for info: :)
  18. I remember UMFan telling us what the Cubs fan was saying (defending Dusty? I forgot now) and I gotta say the other fan had it coming.
  19. Again, they get sloppy once the jump ahead. Third straight game they did it. No more ticky tacky fouls, Collison.
  20. He "smashed the ball" after the third quarter ended, apparently. The technical fouls have gotten out of hand.
  21. Yikes, you're right.
  22. Walrond was taken off the 40-man last month.
