  1. San Diego might see a sell out for this one. Gonna be there, BBB? I'll make the 2-hour drive down, for sure.
  2. Only if you actually meant Kimmy Gibbler. Then you'd just be weird. I'm almost embarrassed to say I know who that is! No need to be embarassed. I know who it is. And that show is crap. My sister watches it all the time... It wasn't so bad when I was 14. But now I look back, and it's very dorky. I still like it though.  Yeah, it was wonderful when it was on TGIF and I was 10, but now, not so much.
  3. Ronny is becoming really popular with the Cubs brass - I think Lou would rather have Ronny than Barnes.
  4. It's interesting that S & DT have been addressed in FA this year, when Angelo usually likes to draft at those positions. I think this signals a change of approach for JA. He's officially out of building mode -- looking for veteran help instead of relying so heavily on the draft. At this point I really don't have much of a clue what Angelo will do come April. Good idea - how many years of drafting S does Angelo need to do? I still have hopes for D. Manning improving quite a bit. Also, the Bears could still go S and I wouldn't be surprised. I expect OL to be a priority in the draft. After that, LB (replace Briggs), WR, TE, S.
  5. Hopefully TT and Truffle's wallets will increase by quite a bit. :)
  6. I agree about Roy. He was getting far too much credit for their comeback against USC. Sorry MPrior. By the way, I thought it was hilarious that Patrick Ewing's son was kissing the basketball after he got the rebound with 2 seconds left in regulation.
  7. Psh, Mata gets all the ladies: http://www.insomniacslounge.com/uploaded_images/n2502719_32984146_3782-743821.jpg
  8. http://espn-i.starwave.com/media/apphoto/cb333138-5c3c-4a96-9817-e5ca5be92b4a.jpg Cecilia Rodhe, mother of Florida's Joakim Noah, reacts during the second half of the NCAA Midwest Regional final basketball game against Oregon in St. Louis, Sunday, March 25, 2007.
  9. They were getting a lot of contact on his high FB, which is disappointing. But I liked seeing those ground balls - against a lot of teams, that would have been a GIDP.
  10. They said it was because he whined about Deon Thompson using his shoulder. I didn't see anything, so I can't say what I think about it, but I'll take it. Gotcha. Wish they had showed a replay - of course arguing/whining isn't as obvious on camera as ol' Pink Floyd's temper tantrum on Friday.
  11. What was that T for? I didn't catch why Thompson got T'ed up.
  12. Yes. Horford will be much better. If Brewer gets his shot to be more consistant, he will also be a better pro.
  13. These teams don't want to play defense.

  15. I hate him more than the plague. I cannot believe that backcourt violation call.
  16. Didn't Humphrey have a big game against UCLA in the title game last year? 15 points, 4-8 from three. Seriously though, I fail to understand how teams can't stop a player like this. Stay in his face when he has the ball because he can't drive by you. Be smart on screens and either switch or run through them. When we played good shooters in rec league I'd just run with them and keep my hand in their face, and they'd do nothing. It's a bit tougher when you can't handle Noah and Horford inside. It's not like they only have one good big man.* *Never got to see the NC game so I can't specifically comment about the UCLA-Florida game.
  17. I feel bad for Hairston - he was mugged a few times with no calls and a few of the fouls against him were questionable. Oregon's done - Brooks will soon foul out too.
  18. 4 on Brooks, 4 on Hairston. Sheesh.
  19. Oregon's defense has reverted to midseason form (obviously this has a lot to do with how good and big and athletic Florida is). And their shooting has been horrid. Not a good combo against a team as good as Florida.
  20. Great, Malik with 4 fouls.
  21. Florida is at 50% from outside the arc though... they've been shooting really well too. Oregon needs to rebound the ball better at the defensive end, though. It's no surprise that Florida is getting a ton of offensive rebounds and I doubt that changes at all in the second half. As for the 3-point shooting, Humphrey has shot 45% the last two years which is what he's at right now. Green is shooting better (75% today and 40% for the year) but Humphrey is the big 3-point shooter. Florida will probably drop off a bit, but not too much. Plus Noah and Horford have a combined 8 points on 1-7 shooting. I'm willing to bet that changes in the second half as well. A few of Humphrey and Green's 3s have come from open looks after an offensive rebound where their defender collapsed in an attempt to get the board. Unless the guards don't go for the offensive boards, which Florida is going to continue to get anyway, those open looks will be there in the second half also. Oregon's downfall is going to be giving Florida too many second chances. Agreed. Oregon has come back and tied it up here - but Hariston and Leunen each have 3 fouls.
