  1. Ohman is a good LOOGY, the Cubs keep trying to use him for a full inning and against multiple righties.
  2. Iowa tied it up, off to extra innings we go!
  3. Peoria did notch the 4-2 win. Josh Lansford went 2 for 5 with a double, Alfred Joseph went 2 for 3.
  4. Was anyone else wondering how long 1908 can talk to himself until Jon ruined it?
  5. I'm sure there's a bit of demand for Jones and Ohman.
  6. Guzman has pitched much better during this season than he did in Spring Training, and Miller has not. What's transpired during the season could justifiably cause Lou to reconsider his earlier decision. so the cubs decided miller was better than guzman based on their 17 and 13 ip in spring training, and then realized they were wrong based on their 11 and 7 ip in the regular season? this seems like a bad way to make decisions. it should've been obvious to everyone that miller sucked before the season started. if the cubs INSISTED on giving him a shot, with the knowledge that he'd only get 2-3 starts before cutting bait, why not start guzman at AAA so he's ready to come up and start at a moment's notice? if you look at his game log, you'll see that guzman's been pitching in blowouts and games where we're behind by at least a few runs. he's not doing anything special that requires a particularly talented pitcher. we could be running anybody out there in his spot to this point and be no worse off. Seemed to me like the Cubs went with the veteran over the youngster after spring and sending Gooz might be insurance in case Miller continues to be horrid. Piniella wanted Guzman on the 25-man, but long men aren't used that often so it's a waste when Angel could be starting at AAA.
  7. Cavs up 73-70 on the 76ers late in the third quarter.
  8. Iowa up 1-0 in the middle of the third inning. O'Malley: 3 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 H. Tennessee up 4-1 after four innings. Holliman: 4 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 K/1 BB. Dope and Robinson each hit a HR in the first. Peoria up 3-2 after four innings. Muldowney: 4 IP, 2 R, 0 ER, 6 H, 2 K/0 BB. Jonathan Mota is 1 for 1 with a 2-RBI single.
  9. Chris Robinson also HRed for Tennessee in the first inning. Here's a Knoxville News Sentinel piece on him.
  10. http://cubs.scout.com/2/636225.html
  11. In Before Lock.
  12. The planet where Gooz is stretched out to replace Wade Miller.
  13. Whoops, my bad. Let me update the draft board on the first page.
  14. Happy birthday, Bruce!
  15. I love how the announcers defended Crawford. DUNCAN SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER TO LAUGH AND LOOK HAPPY.
  16. Reggiemillerrules and the Rams are up, but I believe Reggiemillerrules is not around, so can someone make a pick for the Rams?
  17. Didn't see most of teh game because of work but that sounds right. From what I did see, I'd add Wade Miller's pitchign to your list there.
  18. I was surprised to see this monstrosity was at 117 Premium pages when I got back from work. Extra innings explains it. Good for Hendry (I believe he wants to stretch out Gooz to start). Though this begs the question of just how healthy Soriano is.
  19. It's a bit premature for Felix. And so it begins for Wade.
  20. the ideal situation would be for him to hit in the same place in the order as he was in Iowa, but I don't think bumping Lee from the #3 spot is gonna happen I think it'd be better to put him where the Cubs expect him to play when he's in the bigs.
