And his name is Donnie Veal. (Since the original post, Nate Spears, Mitch Atkins and Doug Deeds have been added to the roster.) And by now, I'm sure everyone has heard that Welington Castillo will be the Cubs' lone representative at the Futures Game.

Can't let Angel Guzman have the only one. Daryle took 30 swings in BP today at Fitch. The goal is to get him rehabbing in Iowa by the weekend.

Here are the first round matchups: WEST No. 1 L.A. Lakers vs. No. 8 Denver No. 2 New Orleans vs. No. 7 Dallas No. 3 San Antonio vs. No. 6 Phoenix No. 4 Utah vs. No. 5 Houston EAST No. 1 Boston vs. No. 8 Atlanta No. 2 Detroit vs. No. 7 Philadelphia No. 3 Orlando vs. No. 6 Toronto No. 4 Cleveland vs. No. 5 Washington While I'm not really looking forward to any of the first round matchups in the East, all four Western matchups seem to be entertaining. Predictions, anyone?

The Cubs get him back if Toronto can't trade him or outright him in 10 days. Also of Rule 5 note, Tim Lahey was designated for assignment a few days ago by the Phils. If he makes it back to the Twins, we'll see if he comes back to the Cubs as the PTBNL for Craig Monroe. Link on Wells transaction: linky.

Yes, he gets his own thread. This guy claims to be a Cub Pac Rim scout (I guess?) and he has a blog entry about Dae-Eun Rhee. Also, someone from BCB was at Dae-Eun Rhee's professional debut in Burlington. He has some pics and a little blurb on how Rhee looked.
