  1. How are we doing the Bears? I can take the Chargers or Rams.
  2. That Lawson report did read like one of Underwood's then year Duane was drafted. Your Hansen hyperbole seems extreme when you consider Alec didn't make it out of the second in his first start and only went 3 in his second start.
  3. Not every player was linked to team but he did link the Cubs to Norge Ruiz (along with the Dodgers) and Vladimir Gutierrez (along with the Dodgers and Giants). Badler reiterated Morejon was linked to the Padres and Lazarito to the Padres with the Dodgers and Braves waiting in the wings.
  4. Eloy, but I might be the biggest Eloy fan on this board.
  5. Robert Tyler was electric yesterday. Kyle Cody fantastic today. Not that either of them matter for the Cubs, barring injury. As a side note, I love Corey Ray.
  6. Contreras for me too.
  7. Tweet was about his movie night.
  8. 30% he stays Did the NFL get rid of the franchise tag?
  9. I want Cease and his surgically repaired elbow to have nothing to do with the MWL until at least May. Regarding Martinez, nothing would surprise me but I suspect he'll stay in Mesa for at least a part of extended spring training to continue to get acclimated to the US. He sounds rawer than your average 21-year old.
  10. Damn. Probably the two guys I was most interested in, especially since there was no doubt Morejon would be a Cub just a few months ago.
  11. Law has historically been higher on Theo and Jed-led systems. Obviously they've earned a lot of benefit of doubt but just something to note.
  12. McLeod interview: http://chicagocubsonline.com/archives/2016/02/jason-mcleod-talks-cubs-prospects-on-mlb-network-radio.php Touches on Torres, Contreras, McKinney, Underwood, Cease, Steele, Sands, de la Cruz and Candelario. Sounds like McKinney might not be ready for spring training because of the kneecap injury:
  13. The gap between different prospect rankers is amusing to me.
  14. It's already happened....Quantrill and Matt Krook have already had it. Krook's teammate, Cole Irvin, is another top round guy that had the surgery already. I think both Krook and Quantrill have more talent than Erick Fedde, a TJ college arm that went 18th in 2014. South Carolina's Wil Crowe also had TJS last season though he isn't the prospect Cal Quantrill is.
  15. OF Ryan Boldt could be a first rounder.
  16. Willson Contreras for me.
  17. And that sorry excuse of a human being, Talib. TJ Ward too.
  18. Wish Moncada had been willing to wait. [tweet] [/tweet]
  19. No one too interesting this year for Fullerton. Sadly for you, the ASU, UCLA and USC games are midweek so those teams won't start their best pitchers. They do have some interesting prospects: ASU has SS Colby Woodmansee, USC has potential day one pick (and a Cubs draft pick out of HS) C Jeremy Martinez and UCLA has 3B Luke Persico and C Darrell Miller. Maryland's Friday starter, Mike Shawaryn, could be a first or second rounder this June. Edit: Crap, Miller tore his labrum and is done for the season.
  20. Lourdes does turn 23 in October. Not sure if he'd be willing to wait that long but that would get every team in baseball eligible.
  21. UCLA plays at the Rose Bowl, not the Coliseum.
  22. I really hope the Chargers stay in San Diego but I hope the city doesn't have to pick up the tab on the stadium. That crap is such a scam.
  23. Even worse. He's a SHE! http://thebrotherhoodofevilgeeks.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/calvingross.png
  24. Ugh you're right...That's so dramatic. I thought at least Sickels had him in there. Who goes from consensus not-a-system-top-30 to top 60 or potentially better overall prospect at 23, 7 years into a pro career? That's odd, but so is ranking prospects instead of talking about them. Geovany Soto?
