  1. Once the prospect draft ends at 11:59 Friday night, we can just pick minor leaguers up...right?
  2. Underwood will start off in extended but probably will end up in Tennessee as you said. I expect Happ will start the year at Myrtle Beach. Hannemann in Tennesseez Ryan Williams is with Iowa so that sounds like a good guess. Will be interesting to see if Eddy Julio Martinez starts off in South Bend.
  3. South Bend with their outfield (Jimenez, Dewees, possibly EJM) and rotation (De La Cruz, Steele, Sands, eventually Cease).
  4. Noah Spence.
  5. Buckner, Stanley and Hargreaves just went in three of the last four picks and I thought there was a realistic chance of one of them falling to 11. Sucks if this is how it turns out for the Bears.
  6. I'd take Myles Jack here. Thought about him with San Diego too. I feel like he, Ramsey and Tunsil are a cut above the rest of the prospects in this draft.
  7. Cubs paid 12 of the 40 biggest non-Cuban IFA bonuses last year: 6. Jonathan Sierra, OF, Dominican Republic - $2.5 million 10. Aramis Ademan, SS, Dominican Republic - $2 million 15. Jose Alberto's, RHP, Mexico - $1.5 million 21. Henderson Perez, C, Venezuela - $1.25 million T-23. Miguel Amaya, C, Panama - $1.2 million T-23. Kwangmin Kwon, OF, South Korea - $1.2 million T-28. Cristopher Morel, SS, Dominican Republic - $800,000 T-28. Isaac Paredes, SS, Mexico - $800,000 T-35. Yunior Perez, RHP, Dominican Republic - $600,000 T-35. Brailyn Marquez, LHP, Dominican Republic - $600,000 40. Jose Gutierrez, OF, Venezuela - $550,000 Eddy Julio Martinez had the 6th biggest Cuban bonus at $3 million.
  8. Browns pick Carson Wentz R.1.1 - Tennessee Titans - Laremy Tunsil - OT - Ole Miss R.1.2 - Cleveland Browns - Carson Wentz - QB -NDSU R.1.3 - San Diego Chargers - CaliforniaRaisin - Jalen Ramsey - DB - Florida State On the Clock: R.1.4 - Dallas Cowboys -Vance On deck: R.1.5 - Jacksonville Jaguars - WrigleyField 22 R.1.6 - Baltimore Ravens - WrigleyField 22 I'll pm Vance
  9. I'll PM raw.
  10. I can't believe someone hasn't signed him yet. I'd love to see the Cubs sign him to a 2 or 3 year deal.
  11. Give me the Rams and Cardinals too.
  12. I hope #20 there, Miguel Amaya, is really in Arizona this summer. That would be massive for his prospects - stateside already at 17 as a 7/2 IFA C is a really nice start. Would be even nicer if one or two other 2015 IFAs, Kwang-Min Kwong and Yonathan Estiwal, are there too. The SS from Mexico, Paredes, might have a shot too. Keep in mind that the Cubs punted this draft and IFA period. Expectations should be relatively high for the 2015 IFAs (and HS draftees), hopefully multiple guys are in Arizona to open their careers (or Eugene this year for 2015 HS draftees). It would be significantly positive for both the system and any projections if multiple players from these groups are in full season ball by 2018. The good thing is that the 2015-2016 IFA window is still open and there's at least one guy who can play in full season ball now (Ruiz). Oh, and 3B/1B Matt Rose is a better prospect than alot of these other college drafted bats getting slightly more pub this offseason. I have no doubt Kwong will stay in Arizona. Teams don't send Asian teens to Latin America. Arguello has been suggesting that Oscar de la Cruz has added a couple mph which would be fantastic.
  13. [tweet]https://twitter.com/rianwatt/status/710232123341459457[/tweet]
  14. Elbow problems for the second time in less than a year. Last year it was elbow inflammation but he didn't have surgery. [tweet]https://twitter.com/carriemuskat/status/709435474260021248[/tweet]
  15. I went with De la Cruz too, which tied him with Edwards in this poll.
  16. Maybe Spence if you're comfortable with the risk.
  17. Pretty easily Jeimer for me.
  18. Pretty easily Jeimer for me.
  19. Man, that trade was ridiculous. At the very least, we probably should install veto ability going forward.
  20. No one on Bears yet. I'd be up for just calling that one a consensus one and we'll do a poll for it, since that will have the most interest here. Sounds good.
  21. How are we doing the Bears? I can take the Chargers or Rams.
