    Some highlights from the chat: Roederer was never at the alternate site. I assume Glaser means instructs: Cory Abbott ranked 11th on the BA list. Chase Strumpf's arm strength has improved and his arm is now good enough for third base.

    The Athletic had a piece last week where they said the layoff would definitely hurt hitters more for the reasons you said. Hitters couldn't face much (if any) live pitching while pitchers were not only able to throw without needing a hitter around, they could even experiment with grips and work on pitch design. They also said teams that have great tech/video infrastructure were expected to succeed even more because the player development infrastructure was able to check in routinely. In a separate Athletic article, it was mentioned the Cubs have a pretty good app that all their minor leaguers have access to that was rolled out a few years ago. I saw a few minor leaguers quoted as saying the app was very helpful.

    Because USC is ambiguous, so the votes get split. Sorry for the flippant answer, but is this a real question anyway? I know that OSU has a built in advantage by being OSU, but this year puts a fine point on how completely ratings-based these football rankings are. 6-0 Ohio State has a monumental advantage over 6-0 USC because reasons. They've also made it clear that a Group of Five team will NEVER make the playoff, as they keep dropping undefeated Cincinnati below one or two loss teams Clearly you haven’t watched USC play if you think they’re worthy of going to the playoff.
