    Wilson Cunningham - the 6’8” kid who was the Cubs’ 20th rounder last year and currently attends the University of Chicago - made his pro debut today: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 1 HBP. Koen Moreno got the start for the ACL Cubs and his control problems continued. He’s up to 8 BB in 2.2 IP.

    Doesn’t sound like they’ve even started negotiations yet and the deadline is July 25th: The Cubs are expected to sign the best prospect available in the 2023 or 2024 IFA free agency market, which would also be the first year of an IFA Draft if the sides agree to one by July 25th.
