  1. I think LA wows them for Dunn. Couple of those pitchers and Cincy will jump. That looks like a very good match Raw. LA has too deep of a minor league system to compete with. The Dodger prospects can't be looking too hot considering a lot of those guys got to play on the big club this year. Looks like Edwin Jackson may be a bust. Very few of their top prospects got to play with the big league club this year - their top 3 prospects are some order of Joel Guzman, Chad Billingsley and Andy LaRoche. Just because Edwin Jackson hasn't been that good doesn't change how good other players are and doesn't change the fact the Dodgers have one of the two best farm systems in baseball (I think it is the best system).
  2. And just like that, I lost control of the only TV in the house that has WGN (so my grandma can see her soap operas). :( I'm off to the gym.
  3. Meh, I turn away from an 0-2 count for one minute and there are two on and none out.
  4. A lot of his numbers are, but it would have been difficult for anyone besides Bonds and Pujols to keep up his ridiculous first half pace.
  5. Heh, out here, Nike University refers to the University of Oregon. The Washington Huskies come to Pasadena to take on UCLA this Saturday.
  6. In the chat, I asked about Marmol and Marshall, hopefully the question is answered. Marmol did throw more innings in the SL than in the FSL. I agree with you, if Marshall was healthy, I'd definitely rank him ahead of Dopirak and Moore.
  7. Didn't he blame it on the booing too earlier in the season? I mean, the Cubs never get booed on the road or anything, especially in St. Louis.
  8. Weaver's a FA at the end of the season - did he re-sign already and I missed it?
  9. Why do you want them to finish in the bottom 8 of the NL? For a top 15 pick, the Cubs just need to finish in the bottom 15 in all of baseball, they stopped alternating the leagues with every pick.
  10. Haha, burnt's a choker.
  11. 1. Andy LaRoche, 3b, Vero Beach 5. Matt Kemp, of, Vero Beach 8. Justin Orenduff, rhp, Vero Beach 11. Tony Abreu, 2b, Vero Beach 12. Chin-Lung Hu, ss, Vero Beach 17. Chuck Tiffany, lhp, Vero Beach Um...yeah. Then there's Jacksonville, which might have Chad Billingsley, Joel Guzman, James Loney, Russell Martin, and Jonathan Broxton qualify for the SL Top 20.
  12. Dope has more upside than moore but i think the probabilty of moore being more successful in the majors is better. Dopes year was just horrible. They are the same age and moore had a much better year than dope. Moore improved a lot this year while dope regressed a lot. I know moore repeated but again i go to they are the same age. Top prospects dont put up numbers dope just did this year and regress that much. I disagree, which is why I think Dopirak is a better prospect still. Obviously he's fallen off a lot, but I'd rate him ahead of Moore too. And the Dodgers farm system is stacked. Yeesh.
  13. Don't forget Alex Gordon HAS NOT signed with the Royals, and he has just register for classes at Nebraska. With the season the Royals are having, it wouldn't SURPRISE me if Gordon returns to school, instead of signing with the Royals. so they can draft him again next year with the number 1 overall pick? That is all they have to tell him to get him to sign now. Hey buddy if you wanna waste a year to be right back in the same situation go right ahead. A player has to give permission to a team to be re-drafted. Are you sure? I thought that was only with draft and follows. But, if not I guess he does have some leverage. I'm pretty sure that's not just draft-and-follows. John Mayberry, Jr. gave Seattle permission to draft him again this year as junior out of Stanford after the Mariners drafted him 3 years ago out of high school (Mayberry was selected by the Rangers instead).

  15. Pretty sure I read in SI this week that police have responded to 3 domestic disturbance calls to Bradley's residence this year - he may be a great teamate but it doesn't sound like he is a very good husband. Milton and his mom have called in two of those (source: Torrance Daily Breeze), apparently his wife is every bit as psycho, based on the 911 calls.
  16. I just hope the Cubs finish with the 15th pick or higher...
  17. So what's this sunscreen you folks speak of?
  18. Which is very scary.
  19. Yeah, let's get rid of a secondbaseman that hit 302/355/475 at 2.5 million for the sake of chemistry. Read again. There's more to it than just chemistry. He's getting older (who doesn't?) and so he might be injury-prone? Yet, you want to acquire Cliff Floyd.
  20. You're right. Let's get rid of Dusty.
