  1. Yea the Claypool trade always had some downside risk, but it's just the type of move you have to be willing to try. Unfortunate they ended up losing a series of close games. I'd love to see a 1st or 2nd round WR to pair with Mooney and Claypool. Particularly if they trade down to recoup picks. I think they can solve most of the D and OL issues in FA. Then trade down, get a WR, and 2/3 of DB, OL, DL within the first 60 picks. Be cooking.
  2. Yup. Lots of common games to rack up Ws among the tank contenders.
  3. Complicates any extension talks.
  4. Paying RB is of course dumb, but, Josh Jacobs...
  5. Raiders win. This has been A WEEKEND for the tank.
  6. Yea this is shaping up to be a great tank weekend.
  7. What a trash playing surface
  8. Heard Petermann didn't get a full night's rest either. Got to protect players form themselves. DM to play QB.
  9. Trade down for extra picks. Draft best offensive player. Use extra picks next year to trade for additional stud player. FA is mostly OL and DL.
  10. Well done Ryan. (and Ted)
  11. And in any case if an injury to the franchise QB is the one area where we have a meddling ownership, within reason, I can live with that.
  12. I'll be generous and say this is a case where the GM is mandating it more or less but is gonna use the support of the president because he's at odds with the coach. Maybe it's the new president anyways though
  13. Refreshing news for Nathan Peterman because him being elevated will tell us that Fields is out.
  14. They'll bunker either way though right? Right, they're gonna play sufferball whether they need a draw or a 3 goal win. Like maybe they'll open up a little more in the final 15-20 minutes if they need a win, but their entire existence is based around burning the clock with a low block. I have no idea what that last part means lol :hello:
  15. Other way around, right? England win by any amount doesn't effect US-Iran...? I think it just allows them to bunker down a bit and make sure they don’t lose They'll bunker either way though right?
  16. Unless England starts to rout Wales. Then tactics could change, pending the score in our game. Other way around, right? England win by any amount doesn't effect US-Iran...?
  17. Beat Iran and US goes through. Today is irrelevant at this point. Unless GD comes into play if England sails it in against Wales. But I guess the goal is mainly to play it safe, stay fresh for Iran and a 2 goal loss is no big deal.
  18. Wait draw-draw leaves them no chance right? That puts them at 3 points and Iran and England would have 4 each regardless of Wales-England result. Lose and England likely coasts against Wales which makes GD important even if the US beats Iran. Iran plays for tie Tie and England also can coast against Wales, but GD isn't a factor anymore if US wins. Iran plays for tie. Win and England has to try against Wales for at least a tie. But US would still need to at least draw against Iran. But they'd be in with a W. Iran has to play to W. Am in trying to talk myself into a draw/close loss is the best bet? Damn soccer is dumb.
  19. If we win today, we go through of we don't lose to Iran. If we draw, we can go through If England win or draw v Wales and we draw or win v Iran. If we lose, we can still go through by beating Iran as long we still beat them and Wales on GD, which would obviously be very likely as long as we don't get curb stomped by England. wales is on one point so they have to beat England next round to advance. Assuming that doesn’t happen, then the result against England doesn’t matter for the US. They could lose by 100 goals but as long as they beat Iran, they are through. Iran will probably play for a draw if the US don’t beat England, but to that I would say that if you can’t beat wales or Iran then you don’t really deserve to advance. Hard go say a point or 3 wouldn't matter, but I see what you mean. They can get creamed and still be in play with a W against Iran. So is an agressive gameplan the right approach? A loss by however much, you still need to win against Iran. But a win opens up a path where an Iran draw also gets you in. Edit- or a path where England shits the bed against Wales too
  20. Acquire a fake positive covid test.
  21. I have no idea how to feel about this. Like there's clearly no reason to rush him. But they can't just hold him out if he's healthy. There still seems to be some uncertainty if there's a real joint injury or more of a banged up scenario. There's no way he'll be completely healed and healthy, Jets pass rush is going to spend the day in Bears backfield, absolutely no reason to play him and expose his shoulder to further injury. Because his current injury makes him more susceptible to further damage or because stepping out on the field against a great pass rush and this OLine opens him up to injury? There's a big difference. I'm still pretty sympathetic to the latter, but that script was also written 8 months ago and they got 11 games through as is.
  22. As he states down thread, versatility in alignment isn't necessarily equal to good, but for a rookie to top the liat likely speaks volumes. And he's gotten plenty of accolodatea in the "good" department too.
  23. I have no idea how to feel about this. Like there's clearly no reason to rush him. But they can't just hold him out if he's healthy. There still seems to be some uncertainty if there's a real joint injury or more of a banged up scenario.
  24. Are the Bears tanking? Will Fields play? Will Zach Wilson be benched? This dude's coin hasn't been wrong and he says Bears win Rooting interests for the Bears tank watch: Lions over Bills Giants over Cowboys Vikings over Patriots Broncos over Panthers Browns over Buccs Jaguars over Ravens Texans over Dolphins Titans over Bengals Commanders over Falcons Cardinals over Chargers Raiders over Seahawks Rams over Chiefs Saints over 49ers Packers over Eagles Steelers over Colts Jets over Bears
  25. My best attempt at picking the rooting interests for Bears draft positioning (mostly its cheering for the 3 and 4 win teams to win, but also a little SOS cheering) Lions over Bills Giants over Cowboys Vikings over Patriots Broncos over Panthers Browns over Buccs Jaguars over Ravens Texans over Dolphins Titans over Bengals Commanders over Falcons Cardinals over Chargers Raiders over Seahawks Rams over Chiefs Saints over 49ers Packers over Eagles Steelers over Colts Jets over Bears
