  1. Jeff Green is a very versatile defender and better scorer. Noah is a much better rebounder. Noah can play a premium position, while Green is a combo forward, which are a dime a dozen, so I can see why you'd say Noah. Maybe I was just playing it cautious so as to not come over as overly biased.
  2. Well you got it kind of backwards. Last time you took Franks with the Texans and the Steelers got Ghee. I guess I'm okay with Franks though.
  3. I wonder how you would rank Noah in that draft. Durant is obviously ahead of him. As is Horford. After that, its hard to say. Oden is better, but if he can't stay healthy, it doesn't matter. There are a handful of players who are better offensive options like Jeff Green, Carl Landry, Thaddeus Young, Rodney Stuckey, and Aaron Brooks. Green is the only one who is a plus defender, and I'd put him definitely ahead of Noah as well. Out of the rest of the guys, you'd struggle to argue that their offense alone offers more than Noah's all around abilities. So I'd say Noah makes a strong argument as the 4th or 5th best player in his draft (depending on how you treat the injury prone Oden). Not bad! Edit- Forgot Marc Gasol in the discussion too.
  4. I liked the Noah pick, but he has surpassed even my expectations.
  5. Better than Pujols' http://www.thecubdom.com/pictures/2009/04/AlbertPujolsDerrekLee.jpg
  6. Paxson will not lose his job. He could quit and "lose" his job. According to various reports, Pax has tried to quit twice and JR convinced him to stay, making his role more accommodating to him.
  7. I've read this multiple times and still don't understand what you're trying to say.
  8. So you're saying Rose is more likely to do something even stupider? No
  9. I hope Derrick Rose Jay Williamses himself He ain't that stupid. His SATs(or lack thereof) say otherwise Well Jay Williams graduated from Duke University in 3 years, so if academic intelligence is any sign, most of us are probably dumb enough to "Jay Williams" ourselves.
  10. Wish there was a CB I liked more. I regretted not taking a CB in round 1 the first time, but I'll take my chances again and help out the aging DL with a different pick. Brian Price, DT - UCLA
  11. By losing one of the last 2 games, most likely. A Boshless Toronto isn't much better than Detroit or New York. Boston and Charlotte don't have anything left to play for do they? Boston will still be in play for the 3rd seed. Although I believe KG sat their most recent game, so we shall see. Charlotte will likely be locked into the 7th seed by the time we play them, if they aren't already. On Toronto's side, New York has no reason to lose since they don't own their pick, and you could even argue they have motivation to play well to "show off" for Bosh, a potential Free Agent. Detroit has it in their best interest to lose as many games as possible to obtain the highest draft pick and better shot at the top 3. Right now they are right about even with a couple teams.
  12. Raw and I will keep our pick the same. I didn't consult him, but this choice was originally the player he liked the most. Maurkice Pouncey - C- Florida
  13. I'm not sure if this is sarcastic or not, but with Marshall in the rotation over crappier options like Silva, those games should happen less often. I think it's safe to say that was sarcasm... Okay, I figured, just making sure.
  14. Awesome. I think the Raps are about to go on a 4 game skid (including tonight's game). That will leave them at 38-41 heading into the game against us, and we should be at least 38-41, but could be 39-40. If we then beat them, we'd have a two game lead with two games remaining. They have the tie breaker, but we'd just have to win one of our last two against two playoff bound teams.
  15. Everyone be cheering for the Warriors today. A Warriors win could be huge and would probably send Toronto into a 4 game slide going into our game against them. We get Milwaukee without Bogut and Cleveland, followed by NJ. Even with the likely chance that Toronto gets the W, we could still be tied with them going into that game if we take care of business against Milwaukee. A loss for Toronto would just make things better.
  16. I'm not sure if this is sarcastic or not, but with Marshall in the rotation over crappier options like Silva, those games should happen less often.
  17. I say start a new one. If theres a large group that wants to keep going, they can do just a committee type mock for the rest, and just have two separate threads.
  18. F U Bears. They need to use this money for a safety like Atogwe.
  19. Raw and I can't win. Okay next on the list for my suggestion is Thaddeus Gibson, OLB, Ohio State. I checked this time and he's available. Give raw until the morning or to change the pick.
  20. Well I would agree to go LB. As it happens a LB just visited the Steelers. My vote is Navarro Bowman, LB, Penn State. I'll let raw weigh in and make the final call though.
  21. I'd be interested to hear you're reasoning for that. I was okay with not bringing him back, in large part because of 2010 Free Agency, but I'd hardly call it the best decision ever. About the strongest argument that I think could be made for it is that Gordon had to be gone to let Rose develop.
  22. Great athletes and guys with great tools on the board: LB Jamar Chaney QB John Skelton QB Jarrett Brown QB Jevan Snead DE Greg Hardy RB Joicque Bell WR Mike Williams WR Dezmon Briscoe OG John Jerry OLB Jason Worilds DT Arthur Jones SS Larry Asante The best values here are probably Jerry, Jones, Worilds, Skelton and Brown. The best pure athletes are probably Williams (elite WR talent), Hardy (fantastic athlete) and Jerry (massive interior lineman). Purely need based, I'd look at linebackers, safeties and defensive tackles. Well it is the Raiders, so let's look at best athletes.
  23. I love Gerhart. He's the great white hope.
  24. I would have to agree, but I don't think either of these will apply. We'd probably get a 5th rounder, maybe 4th if we were lucky. 4th rounders have value, that's where they got Alex Brown, and Orton. I'm not interested in them signing Brown to an extension after this season, when the cap will likely be back. So if you can get something of value for him today, why not? Because we are still trying to compete this season, and I don't trust the talent behind him on the depth chart.
