PFF did their mock and have the Bears going Landry, with Chubb still on the board, no less. That was a "what would I do" mock and not a prediction though. My top choice of guys I think will be there is Nelson, Landry, Edmunds in that order. PFF, Voch Lombardi, and Brett Kollmann convinced me on Landry. Lombardi made an interesting Von Miller comparison just based on size and combine performance. Kollmann (the guy who called Eddie Jackson in the first round last year) mocked Landry to the Bears as well. Lombardi called him the best pass rusher in the draft. If they do draft Landry, check out the two Lombardi vids. He does a great job showing how Landry sets guys up and uses nuance to beat them. He also seems to stand up very well at the point of attack for a guy his size. Good at disengaging from the tackle, great bend and explosiveness. For those who are into combine performance, he did way better than Von Miller in 3 cone. I’m more into the tape though. Lombardi focused a bunch on the Clemson tape where he was consistently whooping both their tackles. I haven’t really looked at Chubb to compare but I’m glad that there seems to be at least one quality edge rusher that will be available at the Bears pick. As usual, I really don’t want a trade down. Hoping they target a guy and take him where they are. Good to hear others are high on Landry, not just PFF. A lot of the consensus online seems to be Chibb as the head above heels leader. If there is a top 10ish edge guy there, that's hard to pass up. Kolloman is also very high on Isaiah Oliver (calling him the best CB in the draft), and he has been linked to Bears. He's kinda who I had in mind when I say the Bears could shock on a guy that everyone will say could go lower. There have been some Ward-Bears rumors too though, so who knows.

Obviously the Pace sample size is still pretty small, but he talks about conviction way too much to have me convinced a trade down will happen. Maybe if the QB board gets crazy and it's just a steal, but they did at least recoup a 4th already so they have a "full" 7 pick draft... not like they are looking at a 4 man draft class. And unless a real strong guy drops to 39 like when Goldman fell, Pace has a history of recouping picks in Rd 2.

I feel like a big surprise in store for the Bears tonight. I dont think they'll trade down, and I think they're gonna take someone that most believe they could have still had in a trade down scenario. Javy knows Lindors name and he definitely doesn't know the names of lessor players, so they're at worst equals. I'll stay on team Javy for life though. Still trying to convince my wife Javy is a good name for our first child.

I actually wouldn't read too much into that but if I was gonna read into it; Barkley Chubb Nelson Ward Smith Edmund's Davenport Fitzpatrick So going as low as 12 could still guarantee you one of those guys, most likely.

I like Sexton and Miles Bridges more than Carter and Young. Ayton Bagley, Doncic Porter, Jackson Bamba, Mikal, Miles, Sexton Carter, Young I can be swayed into Sexton over Young. I think he's going to be a solid NBA starter. Ceiling versus floor argument there is an interesting one. Honestly though, I wouldn't take Miles Bridges inside the top 12. To me, he's a tweener. I don't see him being a starter in the NBA. Tweeters aren't a thing anymore I thought.

I hope he's an ascending player/late bloomer. Almost literally the same player as Josh Bellamy (I'm one of the rare Bears fans that don't hate him). 4th/5th WR who can play well on special teams. That's what I figured. I don't hate Bellamy, I just wish he would drop less passes when he gets forced into to receiving lineup. I'd this guy drops less, I'll like him more than Bellamy. Still would like an upgrade at the slot.

Off the top of my head, Brandon Coleman, Willie Snead, and Dontrelle Inman are three guys in the same general age and/or production range as Meredith and are still available. I'm sure theres several more out there as well. Not to mention, say, a day 2 draft pick.

Please don't tell me you can judge a WR's ability in 5 games. And since he hadn't played in 2 years then it's no surprise that he played tentative and looked lost at times. That will often make a player play slow. A guy who hasn't played in 2 years often looks tentative and slow. How about a guy who hasn't played in 3 years?

just because he had potential in 2015 doesn't mean he has much of it left now even when he's been healthy he has looked entirely unimpressive on the field...and i don't just mean numbers. he doesn't flash anything. He's played 5 gamesThat doesn't help any argument in favor of him.

White is lost money either way, but he is additional lost cap too by doing anything other than keeping him on the roster for now. Basically he's around by default until he gets outplayed by 53 other guys. Maybe they're super confident in his health, but even healthy that would be dumb. So... maybe just wishful thinking again on my part, but he's just a weird spaceholder to me.

Meredith has deeply outplayed White in their careers, why would you gamble otherwise? So basically you think if they dont draft WR at 8 they are going in with White penciled in at the 3rd WR spot? I dont think (maybe false hope) this has anything to do with White. He's like an old pool table in the basement you just haven't gotten rid of because it's more a pain to move it up the stairs than the extra space is worth. That should be the attitude anyways.

I don't like the way Pace played this (at all) but I have no issue with Cohen at WR. He runs great routes, possibly has the best hands on the team, is amazing in space, and I'd rather pair someone else with Howard in the backfield. I think he will play the Tyreek Hill role to a T.My issue isn't with him playing WR, but he's also our RB2. Together that's almost a full time player with bad depth behind both spots. They need some skill player upgrades and their line is also pretty shaky with bad depth.
