  1. Pittsburgh would be letting him walk for nothing if they did that. His agent has probably already explained to him that there is even less than a slight chance of that. They lose him for nothing if he comes back week 11 and finishes out the season too.
  2. He could be also trying to welcome the slight chance that he causes enough of a headache that Pittsburgh cedes and rescinds his offer sheet making him a UFA this season.
  3. I already pointed that out that he should be mad at Pittsburgh in my previous post. Be mad at everyone. But not showing up to play is making his own teammates mad at him. What's the point of missing games? As I said earlier, the point is to avoid putting mileage on the tires while playing at a pay rate below his worth. His teammates should shut up. Yea, he couldn't control his teammates being mad. They are, but hes in a situation that very few other players could even begin to understand (good enough to be a 2 year franchise player and get your earnings possibly squeezed. Sure half the league has been through tough negotiations and got to time for camp/openers but this a unique situation. His teammates are idiots for publically questioning him. I think if he comes back by week 10, it ends up being a 8-9M bet on his hand. He'll give up that this year and thinks he will make it up on the backend as a UFA (or at least reduce the risk involved).
  4. Yea, as best I can tell, of the whiddled down list, the Bears were the only to offer up 2 number 1s. If there was another team willing, it probably didnt make the cut down of "potentially sucky teams"
  5. If you have their ceiling at 10 wins how do you have their only shot for the playoffs sneaking in at 9-7? Their 10 win ceiling is a scenario with several AFC wins and bad tie breakers?
  6. This is a weird list.
  7. So they are at 52 now? Must have been trying to get something done with a Grasu trade. Shaheen, they would have had to put on the original 53 man to be able to designate him for return. Waiver wire at S or DL maybe?
  8. Hes official, just on the reserve/ did not report list. Must be at least trying to work out a trade.
  9. He doesnt have to be that good yet. Smart coaching and a good D (if they can solve the turnover problem especially) will take this team a long way from where they've been.
  10. I'm calling it. That 2020 pick difference 1st to 2nd will be less than 10 slots. All in.
  11. There are other players I would prefer, namely players that don't play 2B (poorly), but you can't argue with the price. Worst case isn't he a better La Stella?
  12. Bourbainais just ain't his scene?
  13. Yea, this makes more sense than 70% of OPS since the floor isn't really 0.000 OPS.
  14. It would be pretty incredible if he did.
  15. If there is a US league where a loan type system might ever make sense it would be the NBA, definitely not NBA. NBA definitely has interest in a better developmental model- will be interesting if they ultimately fall in the NHL, MLB, and Soccer models (or likely some combination of all) MLB model is established though. It's not changing significantly- only area it may is the International FA market.
  16. I didn't realize that Dirk debuted the same year as VC, but he's also a full 18 months younger. Balling at a higher level still, but still seems less shocking somehow than VC still trucking.
  17. Vince Carter signed for another go around, with the Hawks this time. How many NBA players this year will be younger than his NBA career (Feb 5, 1999 debut)
  18. Cutler arguably hit several of those 7 traits listed, but that's not the type of average QB Chicago wants. If you're elite you can be whatever you want to be, but if you're gonna be average, you better be a gritty mouthbreathing thick onion gravying [expletive] to make it in this town.
  19. Shame on you doubters
  20. Hurts specifically in the knee area Nee Hurd
