The guarantee looks to be a traditional 18m signing bonus, so it's split 4.5 over each year for the cap hit. Then the annual salary each year gives your total cap hit. So reading the tweet, the difference between cap and 4.5m is the annual, non guaranteed salary. It's "dead" changes by 4.5 each year, basically they amortized the guarantee over 4 years. The way it's structured, many are calling it, effectively, a guaranteed 2/29 contract.
