    I'm guessing the Bulls have pretty good TV numbers since they are able to keep filling the stadium. Still a dedicated sports network without the Cubs is going go be pretty lean for the market size at least.

    Interesting that he appears to be targeting guys with experience in systems involving mobile QBs (Wilson, Mariota). Yep we're definitely going to see them try and maximize Tribisky's value with his arms and legs.

    Potenetial QB needy teams CLE (two picks) NYG DEN NYJ ------- MIA ARI BUF JAX 1st round possible QBs. Rosen, Jackson, Darnold, Rudolph. Maybe Alen ,but that seems a stretch. So we basically want three of those to go by the time of the Jets pick, and we want Miami to be perceived as a real threat as there's only 4 slots between them and the Jets. Cousins leaving WAS and making them another relative threat would be nice too... though perhaps not if it takes one of the top 4 put of the QB race. Obviously they can explore non QB trade downs too, it just won't likely be mega packages. Allen is definitely a 1st rounder. Mayfield probably is too. Don't think Randolph is. Blanked on Mayfield...

    I don't think you're getting an impact player picking 6th or 7th this year. A decent player maybe, but we need impact players to really improve and contend down the road. The top tier in this draft is only 4 or 5 players deep (M. Bagley III, D. Ayton, L. Doncic, M. Bamba, and maybe M. Porter Jr.) and after that you're getting solid rotation players/starters. That next tier of players probably aren't developing into impact players. I do like T. Young and he is shooting the lights out in college right now. He is rising pretty fast. Define impact.

    Theyll finish like 10th. They're just gonna have to give plenty of playing time to that 10th pick so that he, expiring Lopez, lotto protected '19 pick and Portis or Valentine actually look like a good deal for disgruntled star player next deadline. That's the path. Or they make the playoffs and actially look like an awesome FA landing spot. Or they do get like 6th or 7th and get a pretty decent piece.

    Probably better for Nagy anyways to have a clean switch. The only thing, it has to happen quick so Bettcher can still hire a good staff.

    these are all from those later staffs, no? well idk about the london dude but rb coach so who cares Tabor, 08-10. Obviously got Toub exposure and just got the Pat Mannely endorsement on Twitter. Good early results with Cleveland, but nothing for the past several years. London, 07-09. I don't think anything notable, but he was as low as of a position as you can, just starting out his coaching career then. Heistand, 05-09. He was actually a Turner guy(!) but hes getting universal praise and those included some pretty good OL units. He definitely has the college label (no other NFL experience), but that certainly isn't dampening the enthusiasm surrounding him.

    Also, Charles London, OQC from 07-09 is back as RB coach. Had been with O'Brien as RB coach from 2012-17 at Penn St and Houston. So that's 3 former bears coaches, all from the Lovie era, back.

    I feel like every year some college coach jumps the "team will draft player from that school" steam picks up and then promptly doesn't ever happen.

    I think Jay named his after crappy NJ towns or something. Re: the other names; My brother in law had a German shepherd named Jett that died right before his second son was born. I still contend that should have been an obvious name choice, but they instead named their second son with a derivative of their first son's name. :nono:

    I think DB style/coverage matters way more than front 7 alignment (based on the players we have and the Fangio system)

    So keep the band together except Fox and Loggains. Alrighty then. Eh, Nagy already has to fill OC, RB, and OL coaches. I wouldn't dismiss Ragone out of hand as he was also QB coach in 2016 when Barkley almost looked like an NFL QB and Hoyer had a career year. And Mitch developed pretty well.

    If Fangio doesn't stay, just playing 6 degrees of NFL assistant separation. Bob Sutton (DC for Kansas Cory the past 5 years) previously was the DC in New York, where Ed Donatell, current Bears DB coach, was on the staff in 2007 (Dan Quinn was also on that staff as an interesting nugget). Donatell does have some prior DC experience with GB and Atl from 00-06 and University of Washington (08), mostly unremarkable, but I think he's done a pretty damn good job with the DBs in Chicago, and SF before that. Could be a candidate who keeps some of that stability on D. I took a peak at the current defensive staff in KC and it's a lot of longtime old position guys, and young inexperienced guys... didn't seem to be any obvious DC candidates in waiting to poach.

    Basing whether you are happy with this hire or not off Fangio is like being happy with the presidential ticket because for the VP pick.
