Yeah, that report seems to be leading the speculation that the name will be the Sentinels. Not the worst name, I guess (evidently it was the runner-up for the XFL team's name Defenders), but sort of bland. Red Tails would probably be the best option but it doesn't look like that will happen. Will they have a whole cast reunion for the first game? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Replacements_(film) bahaha

Rumors are that Snyder and Chico both want military theme to the name. Redtails seems like such a no brainer if that's the desire, but not surprising at all they they'd go a much more traditional and generic theme like that if so. So if DC finally gets statehood and has to rename, would the team be renamed again? Not that it's that big a deal as the Angels changed from California to Anaheim to LA all in the span of like 15 years. If DC gets statehood I'd say there a fair chance the DC initials would stay in some form so they could probably be DC with no big deal.

Add to that, Jed on ESPN1000 just now: Certainly not "everyone" will be able to watch games on Marquee. Even if they make a last minute deal with YouTube, that still leaves Dish subscribers out. Anyone have glitchy tweet issues. For example a tweet from earlier in the thread loads into a totally different post? I've seen it twice this past week. Tim I took a screenshot, but loading it somewhere to host on the web is kind of a pain, I can just email it to you to show you what I'm talking about if you're curious. -

You've never heard of this? It's about trying to get those subscribers to demand it or leave, as to mount pressure. But how are they supposed to see the ads? Good question. They'd have to buy airtime or ad space where they think they can target Cubs fans/YTTV subscribers. Normally they just plop it on their own channel, but that's when they're negotiating to keep the rights.

if i took 35 *swings* my body would crumple into dust Well even at 4 at bats a game, that's max just 12 swings a game, likely less as I'm frozen in fear most of the time. So I could work up to those 35 swings over a few games at least. I'd have to not take BP though to reserve any strength for the ABs, though. At least until like mid season when I've developed some sort of core.

Yes, there are certainly non pro athletes that could muster 35 hits, but if we're talking the average Joe, the median person is only getting on base because an errant pitch was rifled into their ribs.
