  1. Looks like it was deleted and he replied: I know running backs dont matter and horsefeathers, but I do like DM as our RB He's JAG. Definitely should be thinking about drafting his eventual replacement(s)
  2. Some Twitter rumors. One of the beat guys also posted that Chicago is Lonzos preferred landing spot if he gets dealt.
  3. I don't think they're going to tank. Maybe they'd still love Young for a pick if they can, but Id bet on Karnisovas also looking to actively fix roster issues. Now maybe he fails at that and accidentally ranks, but I don't see an all out tank scenario. Seems like there's some smoke with Lonzo. If you buy into lack a PG as being one of the Bulls biggest weakness, that might be enough to turn the tide and go the other direction.
  4. Could it be Pace has learned something and knows its on the Eagles? That is, wait it out explore other options, just too fantastic to consider - the Bears being smart. I said earlier in this thread, but for whatever bad moves Pace has made, many fans always acted like some huge draft haul was inevitable, when he hasn't really parted with tons of "high level" assets. And when he did it was for an indisputably awesome player, in Mack. Let's hope he can calibrate this market.
  5. Has a bit of a fumbling problem though. 18 fumbles on 20 starts. Yikes. Didn't look at that, just passing stats. Fumbles are a worse issue than INTs to me, simply because fumbles from QBs typically go backwards in field position. Yep. His QBr is quite low for his passing stats and I presume this has a lot to do with it.
  6. Minshew is low-key.....not terrible. He completed over 66% of his passes this year. He played at a 4000 yard, 30 TD pace this year. And he quietly doesn't make many mistakes. His INT rate is only 1.4%, which is the same INT rate as the all-time leader in NFL history, Aaron Rodgers. Obviously, he's very young in his career, but he's probably not a guy that's going to all of a sudden be careless with the ball. Even if he never puts up those impressive numbers over a full 16-game season, he only has a 900K and then 1M cap hit over the next 2 years. Not a guy that's going to save Pace and Nagy's jobs, so I don't think he's a realistic option, but if the Bears wanted a bridge QB, with at least some potential, he's one of the better options. Has a bit of a fumbling problem though. 18 fumbles on 20 starts.
  7. Contract the NBA.
  8. The key is if it only costs you money that's mostly a fake resource that isnt too bad to compensate for elsewhere.
  9. Based on league revenue. I believe the salary cap is 50% of the total league revenue. So, 180M X 32 teams = 1/2 of the money made by the league. Players get half, owners pocket the other half split evenly. That's generally the gist I think, but I think they play some games with it with the goal to make actual cash as close to the end revenue split as possible. And I think they're playing extra games this year to smooth the effect of covid revenue dips.
  10. Yea. And Pace clearly isn't going to wait out the market. Yeah that's my biggest issue with this. Superbowl hasn't even been played yet. A month + til the league year opens. Wait to see if Watson, Carr, Dak, someone decent you don't have to trade draft picks for becomes available. If you can't get one of those guys, then if nobody else trades for Wentz, you have a 3-day window where the Eagles are pretty desperate or else they owe Wentz his 10Mil bonus. If someone else trades for Wentz in the meantime, the worst thing that happens is you have all your draft picks, whatever cap space you've created, and aren't counting on the league's worst QB in 2020. Not the end of the world. Yuuupp.
  11. Just interesting to read the Philly view of this. Not necessarily as a defense or criticism of the Chicago side. https://theathletic.com/2372210/2021/02/07/trading-carson-wentz-state-of-philadelphia-eagles-organizational-failure?source=user-shared-article
  12. Why not get Watson if that's the case? Probably because Houston wants to do all they can to keep him and has rebuffed all proposalsYea. And Pace clearly isn't going to wait out the market.
  13. https://twitter.com/TarikCohen/status/1358255667006627841?s=19
  14. His new deal is about to rank 13th among RB. So it's not nothing. They'll also eat a bunch of dead cap for nothing (would cost them about 2M is 2021 cap space).
  15. The only solace is based on her comments all the Eagles fans hate it. A bunch of angry Chicago and Philly sports fans. Great week to listen to sports radio.
  16. I'm not even a huge Cohen fan, but bleh.
  17. This would be a bad deal, but I'm so scared they're about to give up 2 1s that I'll somehow be happy if that's it.
  18. Schefter getting into the action(very lightly)
  19. Do you trust the Bears to develop a QB? More than I trust their ability to squeak out a SB with someone else’s failed QB Maybe they can still just start drafting some every year? Mond in the 3rd or Newman in 4/5. Grab another next year when/if Wentz sucks again. Draft another in 2023.. Just keep throwing horsefeathers against the wall.
  20. No idea if this guy is anybody (not a blue check mark even), but hey what the hell:
  21. I'd maybe consider like a pick swap. 20 to 37 is like a late 2nd round value per the trade chart, and the new age analytical charts would say it's even less probably. Maybe even get a mid rounder. Wentz +37 + 69 for Foles + 20
  22. Man this QB market is gonna be dumb. Might as well go full dumb and either trade a Hershell Walker haul for Watson or just sit back and sift through whatever the fallout is.
