    FWIW, DeRosa was praising the hell out of Cedeno the other day on the radio. He really didn't have to say anything, but he's a big fan of his ability and said he's one of the most talented players on the team. Cue jokes about it being because he can't take his job or something.

    He didnt dog it on the play, he misplayed a ball. Did he give it max effort? Exactly. There is NO excuse for that to happen multiple times in a season. NONE. He should have been pulled if Lou had any balls. He missed a catch. That's not dogging it. And Soriano shouldn't be pulled because that would be a stupid thing to do. When a major leaguer drops severals routine balls over the course of a season, it's pretty clear that he's half-assing it. It's really not hard to catch fly balls. When you drop one you kind of overlook it, but when it happens all the time something has to be done. That simply cannot happen in the playoffs. orrrrr he's just kinda bad at it.... Don't you realize how easy it is to catch popups? That's like saying someone is bad at blinking. There's no skill involved, you just do it. The guy feels a need to hop before every catch as a timing mechanism. He's obviously not ridiculously comfortable out there. Just because you claim that it's easy doesn't mean it's easy for him... and he still succeeds at it 98% of the time.

Since when is that several? It's an error, get over it. I think it's at least his 4th.. there were the two in one game vs. St. Louis, and then the one he dropped when Marmol was closing out the game... then this one...

    He misplayed a ball. If it was Kosuke or Theriot or someone everyone would be saying he misplayed it, but since it's Soriano he was hotdogging it. Kosuke and Theriot dont make a habit of dumb crap like that. Theriot makes a habit of doing lots of dumb stuff. Not as much lately but he is definitely not innocent when it comes to that.

    It'll be Zambrano and Soriano's fault too... and probably some other players I'm not remembering In fact, it's mostly Zambrano's fault for sucking against a terrible team

    WGN is absolutely horrendous about updating their graphics on time, btw. It's been that way for years, too. You'd think they would do something about it.

    It never ceases to amaze me how Lou will bring in Marmol in a 5 run game and then bring in, say, Cotts in a one run game... Wow... WTF sori

    Last game was a good outing, but 2 out of 3 is still inexcusable. Not really. He wasn't throwing nearly enough strikes.

    It's probable that that'll happen regardless of who we face. We're just one of 8. Given one team or the field, gotta take the field. Knowing that, just enjoy the ride and hope it happens.

    Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too many of those. Leave it up to the teams to decide when to challenge. Or simply have an ump watching the replays on EVERY play and correcting the calls that are obviously wrong from a booth.

    I just don't understand why they're limiting it to HR calls? Why not safe/out calls? Why limit it to only ensuring that SOME calls are right? IMO, it's far more necessary for safe/out stuff than for the HR stuff anyway. Same goes for fair/foul in play calls. I don't really buy the slowing down of the game argument, either. We've all seen the managers go out there and it probably takes just about as long, if not longer, for those interruptions to happen.
