  1. haha i didn't even remember that i started this thread.
  2. Well, to be fair, it was a really ugly game and the frustration of one of our best pitchers continuing to get shelled (and by a crappy team, no less) didn't help. Still a lot of overreaction and stuff, but I don't think it's nearly as bad as the ones from last week.
  3. It sucks that this season has to end. It would be so crappy if this didn't end the way we want it to, and there's a better than decent chance of that happening.
  4. ...and that team played in a watered down league, as a lot of the biggest stars were at war.
  5. YES! http://image.maniadb.com/images/album/178/178845_1_f.jpg ...deep inside I hope you feeeelll it tooooo
  6. It almost sucks to have them loaded now.
  7. FWIW, DeRosa was praising the hell out of Cedeno the other day on the radio. He really didn't have to say anything, but he's a big fan of his ability and said he's one of the most talented players on the team. Cue jokes about it being because he can't take his job or something.
  8. Besides being one of the best backup best shortstops in baseball? Nothing. Why do you bother? I don't know. Yea, I didn't.
  9. lol this game is so god damn ugly
  10. Eh... it's still only one run. Let's try to keep it that way.
  11. He didnt dog it on the play, he misplayed a ball. Did he give it max effort? Exactly. There is NO excuse for that to happen multiple times in a season. NONE. He should have been pulled if Lou had any balls. He missed a catch. That's not dogging it. And Soriano shouldn't be pulled because that would be a stupid thing to do. When a major leaguer drops severals routine balls over the course of a season, it's pretty clear that he's half-assing it. It's really not hard to catch fly balls. When you drop one you kind of overlook it, but when it happens all the time something has to be done. That simply cannot happen in the playoffs. orrrrr he's just kinda bad at it.... Don't you realize how easy it is to catch popups? That's like saying someone is bad at blinking. There's no skill involved, you just do it. The guy feels a need to hop before every catch as a timing mechanism. He's obviously not ridiculously comfortable out there. Just because you claim that it's easy doesn't mean it's easy for him... and he still succeeds at it 98% of the time.

Since when is that several? It's an error, get over it. I think it's at least his 4th.. there were the two in one game vs. St. Louis, and then the one he dropped when Marmol was closing out the game... then this one...
  13. Why are Len and Bob acting surprised that Z sucked?
  14. He misplayed a ball. If it was Kosuke or Theriot or someone everyone would be saying he misplayed it, but since it's Soriano he was hotdogging it. Kosuke and Theriot dont make a habit of dumb crap like that. Theriot makes a habit of doing lots of dumb stuff. Not as much lately but he is definitely not innocent when it comes to that.

  17. It'll be Zambrano and Soriano's fault too... and probably some other players I'm not remembering In fact, it's mostly Zambrano's fault for sucking against a terrible team
  18. What about the one where Soriano did that like 10x in one game (or twice)...
  19. Screw you, Lou, and screw you Soriano.
  20. WGN is absolutely horrendous about updating their graphics on time, btw. It's been that way for years, too. You'd think they would do something about it.
  21. It never ceases to amaze me how Lou will bring in Marmol in a 5 run game and then bring in, say, Cotts in a one run game... Wow... WTF sori
