Just saw the Soriano at 1st question answered. I think brewerfan.net said that there was another call at 1B that was blown in their favor that resulted in a run too, though. -
Got back from this game a little while ago... awesome. Was Soriano out at first? And did Soriano throw out that runner at 3rd or was it a good call? I also hope that this game doesn't convince Lou that Marmol needs to close. Brewers fans are hoping it does.

If this is true about Hardy, I'm pretty sure I'd rather trade for him than Peavy.

it's uncanny how many wild finishes/games we've had vs. the brewers (in either direction) since they moved to the NL. the only other team where it's even close is the rockies

That said, I wouldn't mind trying Guzman at closer, as I feel he can miss more bats, but that would REALLY piss Marmol off.

If we didnt have a superior option, it would be different. So you'd rather have brought Gregg in to the spot Marmol was brought into? Our superior option has a more important job.

Not that it will really affect him at all, but it will be a little consolation prize for me I guess. or like the catcher slamming a ball down in disgust at the call when the runner was clearly safe? You don't get a fine for throwing a baseball at the ground... lol. Are we really talking about fines or were you complaining about them celebrating a regular old win like it's the world series? Because I'm pretty sure this is just as much a regular old loss. There was as little wrong with the Brewers celebration as their was with Hill's display of disgust.

We all know Kerry wouldn't blow a save against the Brewers in the first week of the season...... He didn't. Whenever it was.

with braun running? they had a better chance than they did at home. and weeks was definitely safe. The ball was deep in the hole. With Fatty running, maybe, but Braun, while not a speed demon, isn't the slowest guy in the world. JMO, he had a better shot at the DP than throwing home with his arm strength. I think it's a bad decision, but Theriot wasn't the only reason we lost today. I'm hanging a good portion of it on Lou's mismanagement of the bench in the 8th. He was a big part of it. He did contribute with the bat, though.
